Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

Good thing I don’t care what my neighbors think of me! Pulling a late nighter to get a jump on my construction vacation. caught a glimpse of a rocket launch in between my work. Super cloudy, so this is all I got to see of the rocket itself.

 

You better be careful working so hard at home. When your wife finds out how much you get done while she’s out of town she’ll be going out a lot more

 

She knows I live for guiltless project time! I always feel guilty when I’m working on stuff and not spending time with her or the boys. So it feels good to be able to do this with no limits.
Side note, I made her take the Taco since I loaded the cassette toilet in the bed with the topper to keep them from having any contact with the general public on their trip.
I just got a text from her: “Your truck saved the day as I came upon a fresh deer carcass in the middle of the lane in the dark. Cleared it no problem!”
Now I need to tell her I need a lift to clear larger mammal carcasses!

 

Good hump day Friday morning for some!

 

I love the time off But the Holidays drive everyone crazy.

Kinda dumb one day off and back to work to just be there since all the Customers are closed or on very limited staff

 

Time to get that turkey in the brine

 

We’ve deep fried them for the last few years, but the wife wants to brine this one, which means I don’t have to cook it.

 

Deep fried is delicious, until you smoke one

Step daughter and boyfriend came up for 2 days, having our turkey day today. I got the turkey in the electric smoker, see how long it takes

 

A backing plate for a guys crane. I’m assuming it’s one that is mounted on a utility bed.

 

My niece-in-law was up last weekend so we had an early very incorrect Thanksgiving.



I'll probably pick up a turkey breast from Costco tonight so at least an attempt was made to do it "right".

 

Snuck out for a minute to the local gun store to see if they had ammo and wound up with a tube fed pump .22

How does this happen???

 

Nice! I have an old carnival style tube fed pump Remington that’s a blast to plink with.
These things happen!

 

I have an octagon barrel Savage pump .22 my dad had, I can't get it to cycle though after shooting it. Every time you shoot it it locks up and you have to take it apart to reset it. I can't figure it out, it's old.

I worked at a welding shop where they exclusively used welding squints to tack weld all the time.
