I was wondering how many people run the 6112 with the 600lb springs and remove there sway bar? Are the 600lb springs stiff enough to be ok with no sway bar or would you guys recommend going to the 650lb?

I ran my 6112's with 600lb springs without a swaybar from the beginning before I moved up to 650lb springs (only because I added about 150lbs more weight) and I did not have any issue. Remember that you just have to watch your driving that much more if you do. I am not a speed demon and I have always taken corners slowly especially coming off of offramps. The swaybar is there for a reason just don't drive it like you stole it.

My 6112/5160 with the All Pro 1.5" 3 leaf pack are on the way, I just want to install it right the first time. I don't want a ton of rake, since the fronts are set at 5/6 setting which is about 2" in the front and the rear is 1.5" if I keep the overload spring in will it cause for too much rake?

Seems like all the AAL settles and you don't get the advertised rear lift. Probably 1-1.25" if the factory overload is taken out.

I'll be contacting Headstrong Monday on a 6112/5160 kit. Plan is 6/5 and 650lb coil. Hoping to net near 2.5".

From what I've found on here people are saying over time AAL do settle and sag. So they recommend keeping the overload spring in. I plan on doing the same just don't want a crazy rake but I'll report back when I have everything installed. Thanks for the answer

I installed the Headstrong 3AAL and kept my overload in for a couple of months but the ride was so stiff that I felt every pebble on the road. Took the overload off and the ride is so much better and have seen no settle so far and it has been more than 6 Months but we shall see. Kept the Overloads sitting in my garage just in case I add that camper to the rear.

Anybody have any experience with the 6112 on an access cab. What setting did you use I won’t have any additional weight up front for a while and I’m looking to get 2”. Supposedly the access cabs come 1” higher in the front than the double cabs so when the settings for example on 3/4 say 1” does that really mean You’re really getting 2”? Thanks

My AC has 1 3/4" over stock configuration with the TRD OR front suspension.

~ 21" stock TRD OR AC - center hub to fender
~ 22 3/4" Bilstein (4th/5th clip) center hub to fender

note.. I went to the dealership before I installed the Bilstein front coil overs and measured hub / fender on new TRD DB cab vehicles and they did measure less than mine in stock config.

Keep in mind I don't have alot of miles on them yet but did stress the fronts a bit with straight on curb impacts and some droop/compression torqueing that seemed to settle the coils from original install height. .

Today I received the 5160s for the back suspension change out to compliment the front 6112s I installed a few weeks ago. Saw upon unpacking that these are stamped as being manufactured right in Germany. Cosmetics of the back shocks and reservoirs is extremely impressive, especially considering the relatively inexpensive cost. All necessary fasteners (incudes a spacer for the brake lines over the top of the axle), reservoir brackets, and instructions are provided with the exception of the factory lower rear shock bolt/washer/nut. Packaging was substantial with heavy duty package staples to secure the product from any damage during transit.

Removal of the OEM rear shocks is a cakewalk, however the Bilstein product required more intricate fasteners that attach the reservoirs to the frame. Everything provided seemed top notch and very well designed. The difficult part was primarily involving the attachment of the reservoir to the passenger side in front of the shock assembly due to the extremely tight working conditions. The exhaust silencer hampers the ability to get your hand/arm in position to attach the two fasteners and backing plate in place on the inside of the frame rail while securing it to the reservoir bracket on the outside of the frame rail. I also found it difficult to get my torque wrench in position easily but did find it possible. The install was done with the OEM rear springs. I have not determined what my final bed weight will be yet, so I'm holding off at the moment for rear lift. Confirmed near max articulation with no issues after. There is a gain in front and rear droop over stock TRD OR when articulating the suspension. No front coil - upper control arm contact at full droop. Haven't read the entire thread so much of this may be a repeat of what is already mentioned.

I don’t know why you’d get nice front shocks and then crap out on the rear. You’d have a better ride by just going 5100 all around
