Rear licence plate LED bulbs. Not that they're worthless, per se. But trying to get at those bulbs was a real PITA. I've got average size hands and it was brutal trying to get at those to switch out the bulbs.

As it stands, the Gasshole is a "worthless" mod for me. But that's only because the bolt on the inner gas door I need to remove was torqued on there by Kratos himself and I've since chewed the bolt head to shit trying to remove it. So, the Gasshole sits in its original box waiting to be put to use.

Two words on the screw on the gas door...”impact wrench”. That’s the only way to break that rascal loose..

I was lucky enough to get a couple tunes from a very helpful dude on TW. Yeah, that whole tune pack is not needed for most of us.

I’m in the same boat; stripped my bolt out so bad, and feel too defeated to tap it out.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
Worst waste of money mod: Mud flaps. They worked great a few weeks on drives to / from work. Then in winter they turned in to slush collectors. First trip offroad broke a rear one. Then put on 33's and the front had to go. I guess if you bought a highly regarded offroard capable truck with a list of mod possibilities a mile long and you just want to drive it around the city and not change it at all .. these may be an OK item.

Best use of money mod: OV tune. Every single minute you drive the truck you get to enjoy the massive improvements to throttle response, drivability, shifting, and fuel economy. Is it possible that it will shorten the engine life? Who knows - but even a 10% drop in life puts it in range of a million miles anyway!

I have one and 75% of the time I drop the cap and bang it into the side panel. I am keeping it on there because I have a mod problem but it’s a truck at the end of the day haha

How is it any different than any other offroad community? Look at Jeeps for example, they spend even MORE money on mods to drive to the mall and make their Jeep look different from others.

I think it’s nice to have some luxury while camping the older I get. I never mind roughing it but I’m excited to get my GFC and install my fridge. There are tons of reasons why... No more food poisoning from crappy coolers on 2 weeks moab trips, cold beer for the entire time, the ability to lounge in the camper and also change it to a comfortable space/couch for reading etc. The other stuff is more of a just in case- I bought a winch but haven’t installed yet, skids, etc. I usually do multiple week trips when I can but now I’m busy as hell with work and grad school so I completely understand why people are weekend warriors with outfitted rigs. It’s their money so who cares right?

Dang, just ordered one of these. My tether will not reach the clip. Annoying as hell. Hopefully it proves worthwhile.

TRD Pro suspension with Headstrong 3 Leaf AAL, DV8 OR front slimline bumper & Engine Skid Plate, RCI OR high clearance bumper, CaliRaised Trail Edition Sliders, Spidertrax 1.25" Wheel Spacers, 265/75 16 GY Duratracs, wrapped the OEM wheels, OR Roof Rack, Extang Exceed Hard top Tri fold tonneau.
You can move the tether to the hole just in front of where they mount it from the factory and it will reach the clip. A 5 sec mod that's free and works just as well as the gashole.

I think it’s still nice to have, maybe you’ll be more meticulous than me and use it regularly. I do use it after I wash it etc more frequently.
