I had them check ball joints, rear brakes, front suspension, etc. I’m sure I could’ve just replace stuff for the sake of it, but they advised me that there was no reason to do so at this time, so... I’m already over $2k into this truck in 3 months. If there are things that can wait then so be it. They’ll get done at some point I’m sure!

next is undercoat and bed spray.
Then dings and paint next spring.

Do you know the location roughly? Almost looks to be a Mexican grey wolf (depending on location and also don't see a radio collar) very cool to see if it is one

Oh it was a mexican grey wolf, not the most popular species in this neck of the woods.

picked up an ARB breather kit and some extended brake lines yesterday. now i'm just waiting on a non-rainy day to install them.

as a side note, anyone know whether the front diff breather is already vented up in the engine bay? i have read a couple of reports that it is on the first gens but nothing definitive.

Oh I do know that - I’d like to see one though when I hunt the area.
When I worked with USFWS for fish biology we couldn’t wear our uniforms through a certain NM town because we’d probably get beat up. This town also had cages around the bus stops so the wolves wouldn’t eat the children

I thought that too, until I replaced the pump, and still had the noise. It was only the idler pulley. I assume you add a bit of stress when turning, and that transfers to the idler. Just a guess.

Trust me, there is not a lot of love for those who have shoved these wolves down our throats here in Arizona cattle country either.

Yep I’m pretty sure it’s the pump. Drove it down to the culdesac and backed in the driveway, power steering is gone.
