Can't get comfortable....

Hi All,
I just bought a 2013 double cab sport, had it for just over a week and I'm having a hard time with the seating position and lack of adjustment. I've raised the rear of the seat with some washers, helped a bit. Does anyone have any suggestions, maybe different seatso.

 

There is a member on here who sells those seat spacers in 2 different sizes I have the shorter one and I felt it made a big difference.
I'm sure the legit spacers are much taller than a couple washers as the custom ones use longer bolts.

OP how tall are you? and are you for sure certain you have the sport seats or not??

outside of the washer/spacer trick or some therapeutic seat cushions / seat covers... not many other options other than changing the seats out IMHO

you have aftermarket seat options available albeit not cheap

some members here have retrofitted other toyota/lexus/scion seats with success

if you can score some lexus f sport seats that would be pretty comfy, or the seats out of a toyota86/scionfrs/subarubrz would work well

 

I bought these, a bit pricey made a big difference for me. I'm 6' 3 and the seat always was too low for my liking, he makes rear spacers too. Theres a forum thread about them here.

I’m 6’2” 275. These spacers made the difference between being miserable and having back pain, and having a proper seating position that I enjoy throughly. Order them. Don’t hesitate.I just did the rear though, the front was high enough for me.

 

Did you get front and backs. I'm in Canada I hope I can get them shipped here.

 

I just did fronts on mine but I prefer my seat tilted back a bit, your preferences may vary. Rear can easily be shimmed as desired with some washers and longer bolts.

 

Some guys just plain need too be in a full size truck,Tacomas are not designed for BIG/TALL Americans.

 

5ft9ish here, raising the rear of the seat 1in helped SO MUCH.

 

6'3" - 265lbs, I also raised the rear of the seat 1" - BIG difference. Tacoma works just fine, but, I also have full size truck for when I need to feel BIG / TALL - LOL

I just did the backs, the factory seating position had me folded up like a taco man.

 

Depending on your exact discomfort, but my wife has back problems. She bought an office chair lumbar support for her truck and it worked wonders..

 

Pretty sure 2nd gens onward were designed in the US, just like Camrys have been for most of the last two decades.

 

Didn't realize that was an American exclusive.

Been dealing with so lbp for a while now, may have try one of these. Confused here though, are more people getting relief from front spacers, back spacers, or both, depends....?

im 6’, 32 inseam, I guess that would be close to average. I’ve always felt I’m too close to the floor, rather be reaching more downwards with my legs.

It made a difference and have used it since Nov 2019 according to my order details. Last summer I took an old garage butcher knife to the inside foam and contoured some areas. I am pleased with the fit and comfort. (5' 9").
