I'm looking at installing a dual-band antenna on my truck. At home I use handhelds connected to a 25W amp connected to an antenna on my roof. The amp runs off of 12v cig lighter so it would be easy to transfer to the truck.

Has anyone seen their canopy bolts flex like this on the inside? Ones closest to the cab both bent, not the one near the tail gate as you would assume. I don’t really think the bed supports would help this? Have held off putting the canopy back on because of this but it’s nice to have the extra weight for snow. Note no roof rack or weight on canopy.

I havent seen mine bend like that. And they are ~8 years old at this point.

What sort of markings are on the head of the bolt? If there is nothing but a manufacture then its just a generic bolt. 3 "dashes" is grade 5 and 6 "dashes" is grade 8. Stainless is a bit different. if its metric it should be either 8.8 or 10.9.

I'd say they aren't bad for what they are. Cheapish chinese winches. That said I've had an atv one I use for pulling cars onto trailers and another that I use as a lift in the garage and haven't had any issues. there quite a few guys who use them on car trailers that I know of. If the price is right I'd get one

Yeah this surprised me too. They may have been slightly bent from the previous owner but I don’t remember them being this bad.

301A and two marks that kind of look like 4s. Not sure about these markings honestly ha. Seems like standard stainless steel though.

301a is probably just the type of stainless steel it is. The other marking is probably the manufacturers marking. Stainless is one area I'm not super well versed in though. Mostly dealt with 304 and 316 and not fasteners.

I'd just go grab some grade 8 yellow zinc and not really worry to much

Sounds like a plan, not too familiar with the different grades so appreciate the insight. Will do that and call it a day.
