Here's some night time snow wheeling pics from a few weeks ago. Expected 1-2ft but ended up in 2 1/2 to 3ft immediately! And to make things harder, there are about 12-18" deep ruts in some places on the trail under this snow.
I blazed trail, and came back to make sure my buddy with 33's could make it behind me and my 35's and snapped a few pics.

    Nice,

Did you happen to check out your Air Filter afterwards? Cause I've heard they just get soaked in deep snow!

ha, yeah! With this area, if I hadnt been wheeling there several times before, there would have been no way to tell where the trail was in some places. The whole area was 3 ft of untouched snow.
Its fun! Just make sure you go with another rig in case one gets stuck to pull the other out. It's pretty easy to get stuck if you're inexperienced in driving in it, or just hit an unexpected drift.
No I didnt, however I have my intake hole in the fender well blocked off and the shroud off my CAI so i'm drawing air from the engine bay. I think the heat of the engine would melt any snow before blowing to the air filter, plus it's pretty tucked up under the hood as well. I've never had any issue with it in all the times of going snow wheelin in the past either.
With my fender liners ripped out due to my fender clearance mods, I see a snorkel a possibility for my trucks future.

Oh okay, that's good to know, cause well where I am we get a fair bit of snow so wondering if they really got soaked If it's worth looking into a snorkel or not!

Actually this is a misconception about snorkels...
See most people think of a snorkel as being for deep water crossings, but snorkels were actually made for the guys that run in Australian outback to place the air intake point higher off the ground so as to suck up less dust when following other vehicles. Granted they do work for keeping out water if properly hooked up, but thats not the original purpose for them.
