Hi there. I bought my under hood lights and bed lights from @mattgecko and I couldn’t be happier.

I picked one up from @upTOPoverland with BD rock lights. On the more expensive side, but pretty sweet

    None
I was at Home Depot earlier and they had some Husky 500 Lumen, rechargeable LEDs that were magnetic for about $15. You'd be able to use them for more than just under the hood.

I have the same one. It uses a mercury tilt switch to turn on/off.

That's what I used, 2 rivet nuts to an underhood brace and wired to the switch pro. Easy peasy.

I was planning on installing it this weekend, and I also have a SwitchPros. Was there a reason you removed the mercury switch?

I didn’t want the light coming on every time I opened the hood, so removed it and connected to the switch pro turn it on when I want it on and it’s off when I don’t need it.

Get a magnetic one that you move around because the light won't shine always where you want it to.

Cool, thanks! I wasn’t sure if the mercury switch was turning on when you weren’t opening the hood and thus wanting fo move it to the SwitchPros.

Wow! That's some serious lighting there! Pretty impressive actually.. Not sure if I need that much ... But I'm sure it comes in reeeeeal handy at times.
I've seen the other posts about stick-on battery ones, and kinda' intrigued about that. My main concern is just being able to pop the hood and see 'anything leaking? Is the belt still there? Where's the dip stick?' ... Stuff like that. And not having to hold a flashlight in my teeth.
You'll all given some great info and options ... I'll do some more research and deciding .. LOL!

Question for those of you who have the magnetic battery-powerd LED ones.
I'm assuming these have some pretty bad-ass magnets on them? When you slam the hood shut, they've never come flying off and falling into some PITA place to reach somewhere on the skid plate or on the ground to be lost or something like that?
