@mightytacoman @12TRDTacoma how long do you think the ratiotek install will take? I think given the weather clears up tackling it. If I have to stop what is the rick leaving the transmission open with no valve body? Mostly concerned with water as I have no indoor location to work on so it would be driveway or street parked. Needs a trans fluid change bad so good timing but need to take it for a quick trip a few hours each way by the end of the month. No wheeling just freeway driving if needed but rather get it done beforehand.

I did mine in about 5 hours. Started at about 8am. Took my time and finished by about 2pm even after realizing that the tranny fluid was low initially from the gate and that's what was causing my no move/ CEL situation once I had it all together despite filling it with what came out of the bucket.

You will probably need anywhere from 8.5-9 quarts of tranny fluid total by the time it's all said and done. Just a fair warning. Ignore the overflow bolt until you have driven it or at least ran it through it's gears a few times.

Makes sense. Figure fill run, check fill. I picked up 9 quarts of some Amsoil Transmission oil already so should have plenty available. Any risk or issue if I need to leave it off overnight? 5 hours was more or less what I was hoping but given it's my first time pulling the valve body I plan to double that to be saved or tackle removal one day and install the next just to be safe.

I’d put the oil pan back on with a couple of bolts just to keep the critters away overnight.

I need some votes on A/T tires. The KO2s have been generally nice but I want something lighter than an E load and with better street grip. Any sign of moisture and these things are a slip n slide. What do you guys like?

A fantastic budget friendly tire ......Kenda Klevers. I’m running 285/70/17’s. I’m sure they offer them in whatever size your running . I got my set of 4 off eBay from a tire shop for $675. They are considered a R/T (rough terrain) it is a an in between from an a/t and m/t. So far they have been great in snow and rain. They also look aggressive too.

That’s ok though. I’ve been super happy with my milestars and the price is great

For real. I've been too precious about sticking with these stock Pro rims, going up to 17s would give me a lot more options. Like a C rated 255/80...

A buddy of mine just got another set of Coopers and swears by them. What did you have before, how do the AT3 compare?

Wildpeaks are the ones I've been hearing the most positive reviews on lately. The 265/75R16 come in E and SL rating. Gonna see if the SL will work.

I remember seeing you post about them, it was the first I'd heard of them (except for the Kendas on my slowblower). How are they on pavement with your quick truck, do they grip well?

I had a 1st gen that came with Milestars and honestly just wrote them off, glad to know you like them. The price point would def make me wince less when I'm laying down a patch.

Yea I’m very happy with them. They are basically a all terrain tire that look like a mud terrain

I have the light for my camper shell but it’s up above the back window. I have it wired into my 4x4spod and the switch is under the radio.
