Assuming tomorrows scheduled surgery goes well and my truck runs amazing, I want to replace the bed w/ a service/utility body. I have seen our trucks with them in the past but I can’t find them on the web, only for larger trucks. If you have one or knows of someone w/ one, I’d love to know where they got it. Thanks

Does anyone build service Trucks in your part of the country .Try searching under utility body

Down here I know of at least 4 places which really does not help you.

Years ago I had looked into this and it was pretty much a custom built body Built by Reading Body sold through there dealers .

What a used one work if it was close enough and the correct price??

It would not be that hard just lots of time .

Cut in half the long way to narrow it down if it is the enclosed type .

shorten the back or front which ever is easier based on the style you end up with.

So it fits the Tacoma bed.

Could you build your own with different size side boxes ??

Looks like this is a pretty old post, but I have a service bed for a 1st gen taco that I plan to sell soon.

I'll take some tomorrow. It's a real nice box! Hefty one. Also, lots of clearance for bigger tires, locks on the boxes, and a spot for a small crane/hoist. Lots of lights too. Has lots of eyes for strapping points.

Hope that one works out for you! We got lucky at a auto dismantling yard- so if you’re still searching, reaching out to local yards could fare well. Good luck!

This wasn't running around the Silver Valley by any chance? If so I've seen it.

Nope, it's been in Montana for most of its life.

Really, then there's another one that is very similar that has been in the Silver Valley for years.
