Still don't have the quoting or tagging.... use @username to tag someone. Use the "quote" button at the bottom right of a post to quote someone. If you quote someone they usually get a notification unless they have specifically turned that function off.

For a stock truck the XXXX_Reg_Stock.vft files are good.

No worries. Been there done that, got the t-shirt, hat, scars, and embarrasing pictures to prove it. Enjoy the tune!

I just got my Master Key info and I am trying to read my ECU info per the instructions to send the info for my tuner pack. I'm using the Tactrix cable and able to connect TS just fine. When I start the Toyota Flash Tool 1.3.2 none of the buttons highlight (all grayed out) What am I missing?

EDIT: NM I missed the step where I have to wait for the license for the Flash tool to be able to read the ECU file to send that ECU ID (which I already know) to get the tuner pack. SHeesh I hope they streamline this process

I flashed my Truck last night for the first time. 2018 Tacoma Sport AT.
The first file i chose to flash was reg stock vft. because I wasn't at first sure of the nomenclature of the file names.
I took it for a quick test drive and was very pleased with the shifting smoothness and overall peppy-ness of the truck.
Went up a steep hill and was very impressed by how much better the truck seemed to handle it than the factory tune. I got on the freeway and slightly mashed the pedal. I immediately notice less engine noise and more pull.
I also noticed engine seemed to be running much smoother and quieter than usual.
Got home and looked up some OVTune threads and identified the Premium stock thx. So me being me :D I decided to reflash the truck again.
Went for a little ride maybe 7 miles and it was even better.
I have been running 92 premium for the last 6 months on the factory tune so the truck is used to it.
Today I went to work and cruised the 3 miles to the freeway on ramp and immediate felt more bottom end torque that was never there before. The constant gear hunting was gone. What a pleasing feeling that was to my psyche. Before the tune the truck was like hanging out with a neurotic indecisive buddy. Now the truck exudes confidence like a young lad that just returned home the next morning from an extremely good date night.
I got on the freeway and slightly mashed the pedal.... Vroooom! Effortless torque and great tone!
Cruised up to 75 and it was so calming and satisfying.
Got to a huge hill with lots of slow traffic so....... I mashed it pretty good! And damn it pulled like the dickins and sounded great! I let up on the gas because another truck looked like he was coming over but when he saw me coming he changed his mind. So I mashed it again........and it picked up where it left off and didn't miss a beat!:burnrubber:
Today I drove about 90 miles on the new OVTune and I am extremely happy with my decision. When I first ordered it I almost felt stupid for laying down such a substantial amount of green backs. Like a guilty buyers remorse on a big purchase. After today I cleary see what OVTune has put into this daunting project.
Toyota should be ashamed for what they did to this truck. I am Amazed that the truck could be this much better than the factory tune. OVTune has done an incredible job of unlocking Toyota's hack job and making things right. I think its totally worth it to be able to drive my truck now with a big grin on my face. Thank you OVTune
    Satisfied customer!:101010:

OVtune is still coming out with a performance tune also isn't he? Mooseditty17 & Paparee have been doing some nice work with the original stock tunes from ovtune, curious as to what could be done with some performance tunes

So guys I know speeding is bad... but has anyone figured out how to get raise the speed limiter/disable when you regear to 5.29? My truck screams till I hit 90ish then nothing haha.

Edit: if this has already been fixed and posted sorry I couldn’t find it.

    thanks for the help.
