Damn you guys got hit hard all over. Hoping that your not all impacted much longer.

Random aside I was lazy and didn’t remove the tires on install of my u-bolt flip kit and didn’t cut down the u-bolts yet. I was just going to do it on the 500-mile retorque.

Has anyone run u-bolt flip kits without trimming (wheelers off-road with super bumps if that matters) without issue?

    Turd gen guys.

Check your coolant level. I noticed a very small leak of coolant on my garage floor the other day. It hasn't come back, but my coolant level is below the medium mark in my tank and there were some spots in the engine bay where you can see coolant sprayed a little bit. It might be this transfer pipe. Going to go get it checked under warranty on Monday, but take a look because it's about 850 to do it at the dealer if its not under warranty anymore.

Water can run down A pillar, not just straight to headliner.

Are you v6/6 speed or 2.7/5 speed? My 2011 taco was the 4x4, 2.7, 5mt, and I used it to move my travel trailer (15 ft, 3000 lbs dry) and I found myself not using 5th much for towing it since I didn't have the torque.
I put on 265/75/16 c rated and noticed the power loss and fuel economy loss immediately. I didn't feel inclined to regear, since I wasn't going to get any larger of tires with that setup.

If you aren't set on duratracs, I know you can get 30s in E rated pretty easily. I've seen 245/75/16 on a few 3/4 ton work vans as well as other full size trucks.

I was at my mom's in Bothell from Mon afternoon until yesterday. Her place is normally one of the first to lose power. I saw the lights flicker twice and that was it.

My in laws used to live there and I used to live a few minutes north of there and on the other side of 9. I don't miss dealing with the traffic around there. 204 was always worse than 9 I thought, but when the lights aren't working, people around there become idiots in a hurry.

anyone ever have a heavy person in your passenger seat and it fucks up the passenger occupancy sensor? It shuts off the passenger airbag until fixed. This keeps happening and the dealership has to recalibrate it for like $200. I haven't been able to find a way to recalibrate myself. I wonder if they can recalibrate with an extra 30lbs sitting on it.

Neither. 5 Speed Auto. Knowing 5th gear is usually useless for me is the main reason I'd like to regear. I'm sure it'll pick me up at least a small amount of my MPG losses.

As for the Duratracs, yeah, I'm pretty well set on them. I've really liked how they've treated me. Also love their traction in snow which I hit once in awhile. That and I think they are one of the best looking tires, too!

No, reason being I bought my truck with 37k and put front brakes on at 140k and doubt that they where replaced before I bought it. I figured if they lasted that long go OEM again.

So in the last 3 weeks, there have been 4 deaths in the family. First was an uncle, then was a grandpa, then my in laws had to put down their dog, and last was my stepdad. Before my grandpa went, he told my stepmom that he wanted his guns to go to me. After leaving my mom's house, I went to my dad & stepmom's house to pick up the guns, since my stepmom is damn near afraid of guns.

I just inherited a woodstock .270 hunting rifle, .22 revolver, and .32 revolver. I haven't looked into the .270 yet, but have gotten the revolvers out. The .22 was pretty clean, but definitely needed some oil. Once I got it oiled, and loaded, I took it out back and launched a few rounds. The .32 I cleaned and oiled, but it seemed like it was in better shape than the .22. As I was unfamiliar with .32 as a caliber, I looked into it more, and found patent date stamps from Jan 04 to Dec 14. Since it isn't a new gun, I am assuming the dates were from 1904 to 1914. I thought it would be a snappy little gun, but after shooting a few rounds through, it really isn't. I told my stepmom I thought the .32 used to be her grandpa's, not just her dad's. She talked to one of her aunts and that seems to ring true. I'm glad I got them before there was anymore rust developing so I can maintain them better.

Yeah this happened to me a couple years back, 300lb buddy riding around with me on forest roads, when the dealer did the recall they stacked weights on the seat and calibrated it after each additional weight. Not sure if they could calibrate it for heavier loads than normal though. I haven't had any trouble since, and the same buddy still rides around with me.

I wonder if that’s what happened to mine too. I replaced the clock spring and still have an airbag light and I’ve been known to ride in the passenger seat.

thanks for the feedback. I like to go shooting with this guy but if it's a $200 recalibrate after each trip then no can do. I want the air bag on for a normal adult or even a 13 year old kid but not be so fucking nancy about a big guy. Why not just permanently enable passenger airbag and don't put a tiny kid up their? Well I guess there is the seat belt chime bitching at you but that can be taken care of too.

Does anyone have any experience wiring a dual battery set up? If so what all do you need and is it a better idea to save some money and do everything yourself or buy wiring already put together?

I made a dual battery set up for my 96’ before my Tacoma World days. It was pretty simple. I got a battery isolator and a 100amp breaker from Pacific Power batteries and made my own leads and battery hold downs. Doesn’t look fancy but only probably cost about $150. It’s pretty simple... run a charge line from be alternator to the isolator and positives leads back to the batteries and one little jump wire to a ignition source. The isolator sends juice to which ever battery it senses it the lowest.https://m.delcity.net/store/Battery...mt=e&msclkid=136b13e3074713b899d773e8bf7f35ec my isolator is very similar to this one.
