    Thanks! How much would I be looking for that amount of welding. Also, with a 3 in lift and 35s would UCA's be a must have or could I get that later on?

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    UCAs would help on a truck w/ 3" lift period. i paid $200 for the mounts to be cut and a cap welded back on. I wouldnt worry about getting the cap done. I'm going to have the cap cut off and gutted some more.

    i only ripped off a rear flare, but i also wasnt running rear bumps at the time. by next wheeling trip i'll have some rear bumps welded in place

    Even with stock bumps you'll hit the flare with 35's.

    With stock bumps front and rear:

    I hit the bumps before I hit the fender in the rear. I hit the fender before I hit the bumps in the front.

    i'm running wheelers superbumps in the front (along w/ sway bar for now) and i've hit them, but never contacted the fender. i'm not running any bumps in the rear as of yet. havent in over 1 1/2 years and this was the only time i had an issue. i'm going to get the wheeler superbumps for the rear and have them tacked to the u-bolt flip plate.

    u-bolt flips that were pre-tapping for timbrens. never cared to put them back until now. even weight down in this pic i never bottomed out and that was before me, my wife, and son got in it. (on 33's in this pic, btw)

    Gotcha. You've got more cahones that I do. I wouldn't want to snap a shock or worse, slam the frame onto the axle.

    I was thinking about keeping my stock front bumper, but I know I will have to do some trimming but are there any other problems in running 35's?

    I'm looking to put 35's on my truck in the next few months...I've currently running Toytec CO's and waiting on All-Pro Expo Leafs for the rear...wondering if i should upgrade to some Fox or King Co's so i can get 3" of lift in the front too!
