For us, its not very muddy, as we have no rain. Main issue here is dust. We have too much dust out here.

But yes seat covers will hopefully be a must.

Your son and I would get along fine!

I am getting in and out of tractor/backhoe/packing/picking - so we are always dirty.

I apprecaite it, and this time will order parts AFTER i get the truck - so I don't jinx myself!

Not going to read all 28 pages of this thread, lol ( I am one of the people that suggested Kendall at the beginning) . It sounds like Toyota Corporate helped you out? Congratulations glad they did and that you will be getting your truck!

Dealers these days think they can get away with anything. Same sorta thing happened to me although money was not involved. I saw a new 20 truck on their lot Sunday night. Called Monday morning wanting to buy the same day. They couldn't get an appointment til Tuesday. I show up Tuesday, wait around for 30 minutes then they tell me that it's sold. Never bothered trying to source another one for me and the only other 2 new Tacomas in stock at the moment was a fully loaded SR5 trail edition?(flat green with in-bed cooler) 39k msrp and a fully decked out TRD OR for 43k.

Ended up buying an 18, same exact spec, from their used inventory. They didn't budge on the price even tho I wasn't getting what I originally showed up for. With the TMF rebates at the time it only put the new Taco $1200 above what I paid on a used 18 w/ 10k miles.

I go back 2 weeks later to get the chipping paint taken care of on my 18 and I see 3 brand new SR AC 2.7s being unloaded from a carrier. Like dude you couldn't just reserve one and tell me to come back in 2 weeks? Every new Toyota in my extended family was purchased from the same dealer. Never going back to them again.

    Yup. They did.

Kendall won't sell out of state.

    Thanks!

You will most likely want to upgrade tires at a minimum. The factory OR tires are a street pattern only and have been known for having thin sidewalls. I still did alot of trailing with mine but at 30k miles they had less tread than my drag slicks and each tire had been plugged at least twice. i swear they were magnetic. When I bought my 21 I negotiated a set of real AT tires into the deal.

Regardless, its an awesome truck and im sure you'll be happy with it.

I showed up to look at my 2016 OR as it was being unloaded off the truck. Test drove it, signed the paperwork. Came back the following day after they did the PDI and such to pick it up. Ran into a guy 2 weeks later at a gas station. Turns out they sold me the truck he had special ordered. He wasnt a happy camper.

LOL - I understand!! Hopefully you are not as dirty as my son - in my 58 years of life, I've not seen many who stay as dirty as he does...he showers twice a day...and my wife can not believe how dirty his clothes are!!! His truck seats show it...THAT is why I'm such a fan of the washability of these covers!

    Not THAT dirty. Haha!
Though with a $60,000 new well, we can shower as much as I want for free. Thank lord for the ground water supply :fingerscrossed:
