The reality was that the passing comment was a random dismissal of the value of the extreme amount of work that somebody put into this initial post with intentions of only helping others out. I’m certain there had to be 100+ hours of documenting and photography. Perhaps 200 hours.

You may have not found any value, but tons of others have.

    Tears my ass.

You came here to drop a load of shit and were called on it.

Then you attempt to play the victim.

You’re just one of those people...

I’d be fine deleting the whole page. It’s not like anything useful was added here but I’m glad it didn’t go unnoticed. This thread along with the best of others is about starting with something useful and treating it as a resource that allows us to get more satisfaction from ownership. I understand that people do things differently but trying to justify ridicule is lame.

    And there it is.

Jealousy, envy. Maybe you can’t afford one or figure out how to build your own.

After spending over a decade here, I’m sure members would’ve assisted in any way they could if you asked.

I was finding it difficult to access the connectors so I slotted the bracket mount holes vertically. The bolts are pre installed so the panel slips down the bolts until it bottoms out in the slots. I added a vertical support from the backside oem fuse box attachment and the panel hinges on that.

You can’t split the positive buss anyway to have the relay fuses and fuse only circuits on separate breakers. You can keep it for a remote panel elsewhere or for some other high drain accessory like a compressor. Most compressors draw too much to be fused through the Bussman anyway so a separate breaker or fuse is a necessity for those. Basically any single device that exceeds 30A draw should be powered separately. You can daisy chain the main breaker inputs if the total amp draw doesn’t exceed either the cable rating or the first breaker’s rating or if you’re never going to use them in such a way that you do. It’s already been stated that you shouldn’t power up every accessory simultaneously if the total exceeds 80A.

That's the mount I used. It's a PITA to install because the bolts are below the mounting surface. Hard to get a wrench under there. It takes a while, so if I ever have to remove it, I'll replace it with another mounting solution. Not sure what though because I need the double breakers.

My plan is to mount the busses on the Bussman mounting holes to give me another inch or so to install.

What are you using the second breaker for? I want to buy this mount, but not sure I want to use the second slot for. I thought about for the winch, but they don't make a breaker high enough and I'd have to go with a quick disconnect which doesn't mount up.

You could also double up the ground wires on a single ground buss on the other side or put both ground busses on the other side. The ground busses are rated at 100A each. I’ve seen some pics of fuses or breakers mounted to the top of the oem fuse box but that would seem to interfere with access to that box. Even routing cables over the top of it seems questionable to me.

I have an 80A breaker for the RTMR and a 40A breaker to charge my trailer. I tow a Patriot X1GT and charge it via an anderson plug I wired into my bumper. The stock 7 way doesn't supply enough power to charge the 2 120AH AGM batteries in a timely fashion.
