Ordered a pair of Diode Dynamics SS3 pro fogs to replace the current pair of Caliraised pods I have on my front bumper. I think I'm going to repurpose them to my tent rack.
Also got a front end alignment. Had asked the tech to set it at 3-4* of caster per the JBA website, but he said that doing so would cause a fair bit of negative camber, which is not a good thing. I've sent off to JBA asking about this, but if anybody has any experience with this I would appreciate any input.

Then with the DIY mod you can have heated mirrors:

So a week ago I took off the yellow Lamin-X fog light covers because I didn't like the way they looked, although I agree that the yellow light cuts through fog better than white. I decided to compromise with myself and install yellow Osram Fog Breaker 55w bulbs in my factory housings. This way as you can see in the photo, they look clear when not in use, but turn yellow when on. I'll be anxious to see how these do at night. With the new headlight upgrades, they overpowered the white fog lights, so I'm thinking the yellow will compliment the headlights better. I also replaced all of the worn out bottom window weatherstripping. This makes a huge difference in the appearance of the truck. It's amazing how old weatherstripping and dirty wheels can make a vehicle look like shit. Thirdly today, I installed a set of leaf-spring clamps in attempt to eliminate any remaining wheel hop/axle wrap/shudder in my acceleration. I took the truck for a spin around the neighborhood so it's still up for debate whether it has improved, I think it has. The clamps did however stiffen the ride just a little bit, nothing drastic though. I'll report back later on those.

I never thought about the offset wheel idea, but I suppose that would work.

The paint is still REALLY soft so I will not be mounting them for some time. I did take pre measurements on the height clearance and the fronts were at 35.5 inches from the ground and rears were 37.5 inches from the ground to the bottom of the flares. I do not anticipate this is going to change, but I will let everyone know.

I printed out the alignment specs picture JBA emails out when you purchase them as well as I opened the install guide book that came with the UCA's and folded it open to the alignment page and left them both on the driver seat when I dropped mine off to be aligned. Some shops will only align to factory specs even if you are lifted and have high caster UCA's because of liability issues. I took mine to a local Firestone place to get aligned and when I told them I lifted it and needed it aligned they said they would have to align it to Toyota spec unless I had those documents showing it needed to be different.

Dying to weld a swingout onto the new C4 bumper. Only real difficulty is figuring out how to get the 4xinnovations hinge on there with some gusseting. So many angles :/

A few mods here and there and counting....
The tech is probably going off OEM specs and unfamiliar with high caster settings thus not knowing how to set the camber. My tech(Toyota off road guy) got me 3.5 caster(JBA) on both sides without issue.

New idlers and new belt. Not an awful job but fiddly little PITA never having done it on this truck before. For comparison’s sake this was a fifteen minute job on my old 22RE 1994 pickup. About an hour on this one working around everything.

In the middle of an oil change. Forgot that I still need a half quart to top it off. I have a half quart in the shop of 10w-30, is that ok or should I go get a quart of 5w30 real quick?
