    My favorite story...From a previously inaccessible..It's my first investment...IDEA...
    Oh well...
I see a certain company is trending today....I will share with you my favorite story about that company and then reveal their name...
It's April of 1992...I am in highschool and the Boston Bruins are in the NHL Playoffs and playing the Buffalo sabers. I am listening to the games in my room on my headphones because at the time my dad was probably watching the Red Sox and I think I had to be in bed by 10pm...and the game/post game and then talk radio on WBZ boston after that I would listen to and drift off to sleep...Well this company use to play commercials that said "Communications is how humans stay in touch with each other...and data is the wave of the future. Moving vast amounts of data effectively and efficiently is what we do at XXXX. Invest in the future..."

So At the time I was using my Mac Classic and a 2400baud Hayes compatible modem to go online and connect to BBS and what not...And even then you could see the value in higher speed connections....

Anyway..This dumb high school kid says to his father "Hey dad, have you ever heard of XXXX?" Dad lowers the newspaper (they had them at that time ;) ) "No, what is it?" "Well they make all the network switches and...they make the machines that help move data without messing it up. It's really what everyone is going to be using as more people start going "online" (or whatever it was called in 1992)...You have any stock in them?" "No..." as he raises the paper and goes back to reading...."Well you should buy some stock in them...I really think everything they are saying about the future of networking is true..." and my dad again lowered the paper and said "You've got your own money, why don't you buy stock in them..."
Of course as a 16 year old doofus in the early 1990's there's no chance to open a brokerage account and buy stock...

    So that company?
    Well since that date it's split... 2:1 2:1 2:1 2:1 3:2 3:2 2:1 2:1 a total of 144:1...and the price at that time? FIFTY F&*(& CENTS a share....So $1000 was 2000 shares...x144 splits 288,000 shares....and those 288,000 shares would be trending today...at $43/share for $12,384,000..Oh, and the DRIP of about $0.20/share per quarter (3%) $370K/year...But my DAD WAS TOO BUSY READING THE PAPER!!!!!
    Anyone guess????

Nice! Yeah I need to start putting more money in longer term products and slow down a little on all my moving down, around, left, right, etc funds alone.

Nice to see parents never change lol. We're always the dumb kids when we have an idea. 70's, 80's, 90's, etc.

I’m 32 - my Roth and 401k are both managed by an advisor but I have fun money I started on RH with last March with the first Stim payment. I also have a couple of ESPP accounts that pay dividends and I toss that back in to play with too

Sounds like me and my dad this march when I asked to split abt 6k of my money between AAPL and NVDA. Instead since I had just turned 17 I didn't have full control, so I settled for 1.5 into AAPL and the remainder into a generic Tech fund. Greatest feeling ever when I heard him say "I was probably forcing you to be too safe this early on". However still better than parents not letting me put money into anything.

I was really into tech when I was a kid. In 1986 AAPL released the Apple IIgs. I wanted one bad. My mom agreed to lend me the money and I worked odd jobs around the neighborhood to pay it off. It was truly a great machine. All 2.8 MHz of it's processing power.

I liked it so much I told my mom she should pick up AAPL stock. She did. Only about 500 shares because who would trust a 13 year old with their finances. Yeah, she owes me big time. lol

I purposefully have never done the math to figure her profit out. I'm just stoked she was able to retire in a little more comfort. She busted her ass waiting tables when I was young. Then she got a job with the post office and retired after 27 years with them. Not exactly a high figure career. lol

I admit I am not experienced much with options and would love someone to take a look at at some for me for ticker SAVA

put options. I have watched this company for 3 days and it exploded the last 2 days. After yesterday I was going to buy the puts but it took off again this morning.

I am not as familiar with the premiums on options as I just haven’t looked at enough of them. I get how they work but I am just wondering if these premiums seem pretty high to you?
Let’s just say the May or August.

I want to catch this rocket on its way back to earth so wanting more seasoned option players to toss some input on those premium prices.

thanks guys. Man I trust this group so much more than anything on Reddit. Hope we can keep this from the public lollllllll

Puts are way too expensive right now on SAVA and the volatility is extremely high. Pick which one you would have bought and watch it from the sidelines and do the calculations. I wouldn't put real money into it. It's up so much, everybody is betting on it dropping, that's why the premiums are so expensive.

Edit: Their call price premiums are ridiculous too. If you were to play options on it right now, either bull or bear, you could stand to lose a lot of money. Just be careful
