Just installed the rough country 3.5in vertex coil overs in front, vertex shocks, and icon uca’s. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a lift.

I have a back flip tonneau and I love it had it since I bought the truck. If you planning on trail running, which I hope you are, I got a 3tpam mount and a ram mount from expedition essentials. Very solid mount that keeps GAIA maps right in front of me along with my CB.

My 3TPAM just arrived today, can’t wait to get it installed. I got a ram mount specifically sized for my iPad pro 12.2...I’m hoping the weight won’t make it too bouncy.

Nice looking wheels and tires. Out of curiosity what suspension lift do you have? Couldn't really tell by the pic.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
I agree with you on some of the styling similarities, but for that's about where it stops. The new one looks like a typical Ford styling, pulling cues from several other parts of their lineup. I grew up on Ford, and dad retired there. I was waiting for the Ranger to come out before I decided on the Tacoma. Styling was one thing, but the transmission was something I didn't want. A 10 speed CVT may be good in the flat midwest and Great Lakes, but I would get so tired of the constant shift here in Virginia. It's what my Focus did here, hunted for gears. Bought an 18 Sport with a MT. And I don't look back and question the choice at all.

Edit: First new vehicle was an 89 Ford Ranger MT extended cab. Put 198,000 miles on without issue. Sold it for $600 to a friend for his mom. She drove it for at least five more years.

I'm not promoting it, but... hunting is the one thing you'd never know (or feel) in a CVT. The constant velocity does just what it says.

(from experience. had a CVT in a Honda. smooooth)

I had a '14 and '16 Focus. Aside from the issues that transmission had, I couldn't climb an offramp or an overpass without it shifting. 10 speed CVT. They don't outright call it a CVT in the Ranger because of the rep the term has from the Focus. But it is pretty much the same thing. And when I drove the '16 here, that's exactly what it did. Shift, shift, shift. And shift some more. Maybe your Honda was better. I'm just not interested in it.
