Hi all. I'm picking my Off Road, double cab, mid-March. I have two dogs, and I'm wondering what kind of set up you have... if there's an available protective fitted cover for the back seats, or if folding the seats down is preferable? Lastly, do they stay in the back seat for you? THX!

I have Carhartt seat covers by Covercraft (pricey but worth it) and door guards so he doesn't scratch my sh*t all up. Folding the back seat down isn't really an option for these trucks when it comes to pets. And no he absolutely does not stay in the back. Lol you could get a hammock style back seat cover that would probably prevent them from coming up front.

I folded my back seats down for my dogs (115lbs Fila and 85lbs Coonhound) added some padding and blankets and it worked great.
They did good on our CA to OK trip and do fine around town.
They never try to get in the front seat unless we stop and I’m taking too long to let them out.

I use the weathertech rear seat covers, for the most part they do their job at now allowing debris to fall below the cover and are extremely resistant to scratches. My dogs mostly lie down in the back seat so for me there is really no issue with them trying to head to the front of the cab. I also buckle my dogs to the seatbelt retractor with carabiners.

I did a rear seat delete. Replaced the rear seats with carpet covered 3/4 plywood the dogs love it and you get a lot more space in the back.

$20 costco dog hammock in the back. Keeps my dogs in the back but if they really wanted they could easily make it to the front seats.

I have two booster seats that my lab is stuck sitting in between. I did get a neoprene console cover to protect the center console from getting scratched to holy hell when he does try to come up front.

I have a harness and buckle her in so she won't become a meat missile in case of accident.
My dog stays where I tell her to stay so I just throw a sheet on the seat... and she lays down and sleeps.

I agree with the hammock. After going through three different types definitely get the one with the zip up sides.

I travel with three 50lb. shedders. They will absolutely destroy the interior after a three day weekend. A 10 day road trip looks like a supervillain collected the world's supply of hair and committed a war crime with it. The hammock above is what helps me restore the interior to a non embarrassing state afterward.

Pic is of a hammock that failed to contain the maelstrom.

I have cover king neoprene seat covers so I don’t have to worry about the seats. I used to leave my seats in their normal position and put her back there. But she would always fall so I started putting the seats down to give her more room to lay down and she seems
To like that better. She doesn’t try to come up front when I put the rear seats down

Does any know if the hammocks have cut outside for car seat latch systems?
