the only way I can see it being flagged is 1, the way we protect our code is "suspicious" to some anti -viruses, and this new version has a lot of code that "sends data off site" (to our server)


So suspicious + sending data off site... I can see why anti viruses think "bad bad"

 

Try launch the flash tool. May have to add to the exception as well

 

At the very least, clicking it allows it to open right up. So all appears well. For Windows Defender users that is. If I was still using Bitdefender it might not work.

 

This is exactly why I use Bitdefender too. They are the best. I only removed it because it’s my side laptop which I will only use for Microsoft Office and VFtuner.

aren’t all tunes for “off road only”? It says so in the terms and conditions on the website.

 

There will be tuning options for 4WD / off roading that the user can customize on their own. But those old concepts are not longer going to be part of it.

 

I had windows quarantine my vF (1.2.8.1) for wacatac.d!ml trojan again. How do I stop this? Hope this is safe!

 

We aren't sure why this is now popping up... but considering I have the source, I compress, pack and load it to my AWS server myself, I don't see how it could be infected.

Nevertheless, like other false flag virus hits our software gets, I'm investigating how to fix this one too.

 

Yeah. I got it today after launching 1.2.8.1 about three separate times. But, I did get a virus definition update. That might be it.

I'd say to not worry about it, but a lot of folks won't understand.

Like I said, an official version of TS V15 got flagged up.


When I'm installing or using software like this, I don't freak out. Just check the file details on the warnings, Allow them, and move on.

Never had issues with the previous versions, just this one. I always hit ignore but completely wipes vftune short cut off the page and vftune won't load so I need to reinstall...gets old. Also I noticed that VFROM map 2-3 won't load and compare function I get an error....you the same?

 

Exactly. That is way you Allow the flagged file.

 

I was worried because some files in the vftune won't open like VFT EROM Map 2-3 get invalid Map Y size zero and when you try to compare function I get an the same invalid map Y size is zero. Just didn't know if I had a corrupted download file.

 

Sorry, but I did not try any editing with this version. I might tonight.

If you think there was an installation error, it doesn't hurt to reinstall. Anything that you set with your A/V program will stick.

 

I got those too. Except after the invalid map came up for the compare feature, a few seconds later the maps did compare.

Are the new Cruise Control maps a "patch" that you added, or are they something in the Toyota tune that we are changing.
The reason I ask is the shifting numbers that are in there are way off from any primary shifting map--on 2.0 and on my custom tunes.
I did change them to what I wanted and tested it with good results. But if someone loads a tune and does nothing to these numbers, then saves that tune, won't these shifting numbers be really terrible! (Just in Cruise Control)

 

On the Tacoma tuning pack description, OV recommends clearing/resetting AT and LV after flashing. What does that do?

 

Not necessary, if you do your truck will run like crap.

 

It resets the learning values and AT values so the truck has to learn fresh. It gives the truck a clean slate to start from.

10 minute idle. Then you’ll occasionally get some weirdness for the first 25-50 miles. After 100 to a full tank, it’ll be fine.

Is the “performance” tune the “premium” tune from the OV Taco pack?
