Thinking about it, I can probably sell the OME HD rn for 400$+ since its only couple months old and add few hundred out of pocket for a new leaf pack.

the next step would be a Deaver Stage 3.. or at least thats next for me. Im not getting a Super Pacific. Im getting a GFC V2. My bed weight will be about 650lbs with full gear. Currently its ~400 with high clearance rear, swingout, spare 35, and fridge/dual battery setup.

I just put down my second deposit for the Superpacific. 6-8 weeks they said. I think the tent leaves a lot to be desired. Doesn't appear you can close the windows from the inside. No overhang on the back to stop rain from coming in. No window options on sides or slider in front of shell. Having said that, i really liked what i saw. You can get into the bed and not have to completely enclose yourself like some of the other wedge products. I really like the potential for modifications, attachments, etc. The tent is a major disappointment and Im hoping I can find somebody to modify it for me.

From what I have heard should check it out. They out a lot of thought into the design. Channels for rain you can open/close from the inside. Material wise it’s high end used in sails. the rear you can extent out similar to GFC with the shitco soon to be available foe the X1.

but I could be all wiring as I haven’t seen it yet either but firm chats with Spencer and the gear the last bag makes (they build or help build the tent) it’s well made.

Anyone with one able to chime in?

I do agree on forward window ( Spencer says they will add on but are getting caught up) as well as some venting for dogs and such. I’m ok on no side windows that can be added.

Yeah I thought about that as well but had to give it a shot lol! My Pelfreybilt skids were heavy af too and took a beating. I hated taking them off to do oil changes so I wanted something that gave me access to the oil filter since the 3rd Gen oil filters are different and not as easy to access like the 2nd Gens

....so close yet sook far. I’m guessing I’m 3-4 weeks out after the delay email and the truck is no where close to ready. Been sitting on stands for 2-3 weeks so far. No interior no seats haha I’m going to roll up on milk crates on a trailer at this rate

After being in the tent during the rain, I have no further desires. @hatcreek idk if you haven’t read the rest of this thread, but yes you can easily close all the doors and windows from inside the tent. You can even adjust the baffles above the windows during a weather event without opening the window all the way.

As far as an “overhang on the rear”, Shittco is making some similar brackets as he did for the GFC. I had them when I had my GFC (#44 so I had it early on and for a couple of years). The rear “awning” created by the brackets wasn’t great in weather anyway, it was mostly for sun or light precipitation.

Yeah no sliding front window (yet), or side windows. I’m “meh” about both of those after not having them now for a few months. They have much room to grow and I have been able to maintain a much more personal and communicative relationship with all the SP guys compared to what Graeme and the GFC crew turned into once they sold over 100 units.

Overall it’s a great product when compared to the others I’ve owned or been in.

Yeah let's see how it all pans out. communication has been great but also has changed big time from when we first signed up. Either way, they are available if you call and are continually improving the product. The recent update I received was before any big updates were to get caught up on existing orders. Seems like they are getting into the swing of things. I have heard folks with deposits 2 months after me getting 2nd deposit emails.

the SP crew has a lot of ideas for add-ones, accessories they want to add at some point. We are the early adopters and can expect things to change for the better.
