I recently had my frame replaced. I was poking around and couldn't find the small shield that usually blocks part of the front drive shaft (from transfer case to front diff) where the exhaust pipe is.

I looked up the parts, which I think are these. I'm sure the originals were rusty, so I'm guessing Toyota dealer decided they didn't need to replace these.

Can someone post a few photos of these to see if I'm right?

Also, is it worth pursuing replacement of these?

How long ago was your replacement? They might not even care, or they might order them up. It's worth asking, but I don't have them on mine and haven't seen an issue.

You're likely SOL. Time has been too long.

You could try, but the how does the dealer know you haven't been under the truck with a set of wrenches? Perhaps you damaged the 'shield' while out wheelin', then removed it on your own trying to squeeze a freebie?

    Good luck.

Just tell them you noticed it missing and know it was there before the swap. Worst they can say is no.

Yeah worth a try. If someone has time to take a quick picture of what these look like, would help me confirm I'm not crazy. I'm also not sure exactly where they attach (to transfer case?)

Are there bolt holes where the brackets go?

That's what I'm trying to find out, since I don't have these parts. Can't tell exactly what the bracket in the diagram bolts onto.

Contact the dealer. Ask for them to be replaced. 6 months is nothing. They performed major (capital M) warranty work. I’ll be they order them up and install them gratis.

Hi OP! Just wondering if you ever ended up reinstalling the propellor shaft heat shield on your truck and If so, how much you paid for the bolts and sub assembly bracket. I was recently greasing the zerk fittings on the front driveshaft and broke two of the bolts that hold the heat shield to the bracket that bolts on to the frame. After messing around with a screw extractor set it seems like it's just going to be easier to buy new bolts and a new heat shield sub assembly bracket.
