Well, crap, but good to know. I was hoping that this could somehow help mitigate against the dash display glare I get on my windows right "above" the mirrors. I always consider the semi-darkness just before dawn and just after dusk to be the worst for visibility. That glare makes it worse. Oh well........

What is the best tailgate lock actuator for 2021 Tacomas? Seems like pop n lock isn’t good anymore?

Who said that? I bought my taco in May 2016, and this was the first mod I did. It still works.
I thought later models I believe it came from the factory I was told. Maybe I heard wrong.
Mine still works fine 5 years later everytime I open and lock my truck. I hear that satisfying click.

Thank you for answering. I'm not a lift guy either. Just want to avoid the front nose dive everytime I step on the brakes, avoid the squat and also level the truck out.
Getting it tuned for comfort and smooth ride.

The price difference really isn't that big to be a real deciding factor between the 2 I'm looking at, so if the panels are stronger and they resist fading more I'll stick with bakflip. Thanks for the info bud!

My 2021 TRDOR doesn't have the auto tailgate lock.

Crazy though, my 2021 colorado Z71 had auto locking tailgate, but no push button start. So a normal key... My 2021 Tacoma TRDOR has push button start, no real key, but no auto locking tailgate... So have to remove the key from the fob to lock the tailgate...

That will be a mod I have to do once I get a tonneau cover.

Similar trim level in both trucks... Z71 had remote start from key fob, heated seats, heated steering wheel, auto locking tailgate, auto locking diff. No push button start.

TRDOR has push button start, nothing's heated, no auto tailgate lock, but real locking diff. More comfortable seats and more room for the driver. Can remote start from the Toyota app, included free from dealership for first year then requires a monthly subscription.

I live in Florida, so heated seats, remote start, and stuff are nice but not a major deal breaker, plus the Colorado was a POS anyway and had constant problems... So screw that truck LOL

Here's your answer (nope). Keep in mind you may need a spanner wrench and swaybar relocation brackets.

Making a bracket to use on the bed rail. Stripped out the mandrel on the rivet nut tool. I don’t think this would have happened if @RivetNutBob was here for advice. Hope to hear from him soon.

Made some brackets for the quick fist to put on the bed rail. Someone posted the idea a few weeks ago but I could not find it to quote the post and say thanks. E68DD1B4-C69C-43A0-9642-CAFB240A9B67.jpg

I've had very good service/customer support from them. I put a kit on my 2020 Tacoma last summer and recently ordered a kit for my wife's SUbaru Outback. They were very responsive to posts on FB and emails but it did take about a week from order to shipping the Subaru kit. They have recently added non-glare film and they even sent me the Infotainment screen in non-glare for my Tacoma for free.

Sorry that you seem to be having a different experience.

    I guess you can.
This is a mix of a couple of exhaust components. aFe Twisted Metal YPipes, MBRP dual exit piping, and switched out the muffler with a Borla ProXS, and have two resonated tips for each side of the exhaust.

For an axle chop, you can cut out the stock muffler and weld or clamp in a Borla ProXS, and then just chop the tailpipe right after the axle.

Those are the same versions made by VLAND, mass production on them started around November of last year.
They only have 3 low beam LED emitters per side, and the little bucket below the drl is the turn signal. Alpharex LUXX, which looks similar, have 4 low beam emitters per side, and the whole DRL is also a sequential turn signal. Both have a single high beam emitter.

Oem is 5 low and 2 high LED emitters per side. DRL strip is a reverse sequential turn signal.

All looks good except for the WeatherTech floor mats. I have them in my truck and after a while they start curling up on the sides. I just ordered maxpider 3D floor mats. Hopefully they will be better

Thanks for the good review. I’m hoping this is just a one-off scenario. Maybe weather related?
