2019 SR5 interface software update

Sorry if there is an existing thread, but I couldn't find anything specific on the SR5 models, and this sounds dumb but...

Can I update or upgrade the dash interface on my SR5?
I don't have etune or navigation and didnt subscribe to the free trial of SiriusXM.

There is an area to do a software update, but need a USB stick.
I checked here: https://securedp.toyota.com/download-app/getHeadUnits and it says no updates available, but references "etune".

Is that a requirement to have etune?

Can I get a full upgrade somehow, or do I need an entire new head unit to get new features?

I guess I am just looking for more features on the interface...

Someone with more knowledge may chime in but I'm pretty sure the only updates you will get would be for satellite map updates.

Otherwise, just DL all the the FW files on to a USB drive, plug it in, and let the head unit sort it out.
