Thats exactly my thought process too. Im also planning on getting an aluminum radiator, and TRD radiator cap. The AFE one is $399 after you give them your email for a discount.

While youre in there, might as well get in on this too, and get your valve cover gaskets done too:

Is that the one from Summit I've read about?
Damn. This is getting expensive  I may have been watching that thread for a while. I just don't know how comfortable I'd be doing that kind of work. :anonymous:

As far as I know, there are 2 aluminum radiators. AFE and CSF. The CSF has questionable fitment issues, but supposedly theyve fixed them. You can get it from URD. I have also researched AFE, and even though its $50 more, they are a bigger company, and IMO have better fitment. So in that case, Id rather spend the extra.

Ive had the gears for a couple months (not installed) waiting for the weather to warm up. The install doesnt seem that bad, just making things are lined up. And while youre in there, replacing valve cover gaskets cant hurt. That was my thought process. I dont have anything else planned for maintenance for the engine.. So thats the end of my list haha

I've added so much weight, I really need to step up to the T4R brakes. I'm just trying to get out in front of any issues :D

The CSF is the one from Summit.....and it's $429, so the AFE is cheaper :D Now I haven't really studied up on a rad, just skimmed threads while browsing at night......which causes A LOT of issues

wallet issues haha.. It helps with cooling

I wish I could upgrade to T4R brakes. I would need to get 17" wheels and tires too. Now its getting expensive

I went with the T4R wheels just b/c I knew I would eventually need the brakes...….so I suppose reading TW saved me on that one   I don't have any intention of going bigger than 255/80, so the wheels I have should work well.

I was just looking at tires for fun earlier tonight. I already have 35s, so I dont want to go down a size. But since I have them already, gotta mentally prepare for $290 each, and Id need 5. I was thinking about changing from ST Maxx to STT Pro, but Im not sure yet. And since I dont need them yet, Im not seriously looking for anything (but its coming)

I have been eyeing the Kenda Klever RT's in 33x10.5($180 each). I know it doesn't help(pick up a cheap set of T4R wheels), but they have them in 35x10.5 and 35x12.5 and get great reviews :D

Nope. I've just always replaced them(along with thermostat) when doing the radiator coolant. I just figure it's cheapish insurance :D

I just know my luck. It I weren't to replace it while I was there.....then it'd go out and I'd have to buy more coolant.

    It was cheap

I think it's just a bit more durable than the factory one.
