it could also be that here in Canada we have 33 million people ... where as the US has 330 million people ... our buying power is not as significant

Yesterday installed protection mods, at a buddy's shop.

Bought bare metal parts from Danger Customs 4x4 in Calgary, AB. A buddy of mine owns Brownies Auto Garage & Finishing shop near Bon Accord, AB. He did the finish on the rock rails. Did the highly recommended rattle can rust paint finish myself back in December.
    • Rock rails
    • full set skid plates

They hold up well to the pipe trick, but most toyota keys will open them. I have a few too, and I just hope a fellow toyota-er wouldn’t be thieving!

They emailed me saying that they are now confused as well. They stated that if I selected SR5 with Gracenote then I made the correct selection. However, my head unit looks more like it should have been the TRD/Limited option.
I sent them a photo of my head unit and what I received. They are going to look into it.
I’m starting to wonder if my head unit is different for some reason. Mystery continues.

I know the job has already been done, but @Tullie D (God rest his soul) made this post about changing out the license plate lights:

I'll find out the next time I'm out of the city at night. I'm expecting a bit less output which should be OK since I thought the original LEDs were brighter than necessary.

Used Carista to turn off that pesky seatbelt chime and increase the lane change signal from 3 flashes to 5. WHAT A GREAT DAY!

I have read mixed reviews on the carista device. I may look at it again.

I've had the same Carista for years... I just keep reactivating a subscription every time I get a new Toyota, making my adjustments, then cancelling the subscription within several minutes.

    Works great.
