Anyone know what that thread was called where people posted their lift type with measurements of the amount of lift provided? I cant find it anywhere.

No idea but are you trying to figure out how much lift you have?

GT peace auto has been good to me. They do a lot of Toyota offroad crowd stuff. One of the GX group guys works there.

Yeah, that's actually how I first learned of the entire process....a buddy had a really nice setup for awhile that he used primarily for rifles and pistols, as well as miscellaneous small car/bike parts and the like.

Question for you guys or any one else..

With out looking at the link posted. Where are most people taking measurements from? Reason I ask is.. in the heep world, measurements are taken from the suspension area. Like the stock shock length (eye to eye or spring bucket to the perch) at vehicle rest. Then remeasure after said lift for actual lift obtained. Does this Scenario not play into the taco/gens and years.

    Example:

In the rear that definitely works. Top of the axle tube to the bottom of the frame rail is a very easy way to get a lift number. The front is more difficult being IFS. Whatever measurement you take isn't going to be a 1:1 ratio of lift.

the tacomaworld preferred testing methodology is center of the hub to bottom of the fender.

Rite rite. Just wondering as the heep came with different front springs and rates as to what model and trim lever you got.

Just saying when I lifted my heep, I was able to figure you what amount of actual lift was obtained by taking pre and post measurements at said locations.

Yeah that system won't work with our IFS suspension. Extending the distance between shock tower and lower shock mount is only about half of the actual lift you'll get because the lower shock mount location is near the middle of the LCA, not at the end of it where the ball joint is.
