This fully Plug N Play Rock Light Harness will save you a ton of time if you want to add rock lights to your 3rd gen taco. All of the guess-work is taken out as the Harness is cut to length and has 8 total leads to wire up 8 lights underneath your rig (compatible with short bed and long bed Tacomas).

To top it off this kit has an included T-Harness that plugs into your OEM Bed-Light Switch that brings courtesy mode to your lights. This will activate the lights whenever your cab light is on. This eliminates the need for a switch.

**Lights are NOT INCLUDED in this kit. Leaving you the freedom to select any brand/style you would like.

** Note: RGB lights that are controlled with a controller will likely not be compatible with this harness. Here is a link to the lights on Amazon we would recommend LINK.

Rock lights are controlled via Cab Light Switch.
Cab Switch OFF & Door CLOSED = Rock Lights OFF & Cab Light OFF
Cab Switch OFF & Door OPEN = Rock Lights OFF & Cab Light OFF
Cab Switch DOOR & Door CLOSED = Rock Lights OFF & Cab Light OFF
Cab Switch DOOR & Door OPEN = Rock Lights ON & Cab Light ON
Cab Switch ON & Door CLOSED = Rock Lights ON & Cab Light ON
Cab Switch ON & Door OPEN = Rock Lights ON & Cab Light ON

**For independent rock light control please see the added compatible switch harness. This will allow for rock light activation via a separate CH4x4 Style Switch. When the rock lights are activated the cab lights will not turn on.

    Cost: $150 + Shipping

Would be easy enough to tap off of one of the leads and send a pair of wires to the bed for that purpose. Good idea, that may be a future adder.

Would just need to make sure you plug the other leads if you don't run the rock lights as well.

lol to the end statement. But it would be a simple "splitter" no tapping the wires. Can split off of the spade connectors.

I'll look into this, I could definitely have a PNP harness with or without a pressure switch offered for this purpose at some point if demand is enough.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
I'm confused. Isn't this the bed light?

    upload_2021-2-24_16-6-4.jpg

...and isn't the cab (dome) light switch up in the roof console.

2017 TRD-Sport - no bed light, no such switch as pictured :(

This harness works off of the cab light switch. Both the cab light switch and the a-pillar have the courtesy ground wire for courtesy mode. The cab light is easier to tap off of as it is not a PWM signal. This harness will only work if you have a cab light switch.

The other product I have (DomeRock V4) is tapping off of the courtesy wire to the dome light. That one is a PWM signal though so their is some circuitry on board to cancel that out. That is what you would need if you do not have the cab light switch, however no full harness available. And also requires the extra switch. I may try to tie them together at some point in the future.

I got hung up on the semantics. What you call a cab light, I call a bed light. It's attached to the cab but lights up the bed. Meh.

Already have your DomeRock module. Wasn't able to work up enough ambition to mount the rock lights before winter hit.

Cargo/Bed Lights circuit switch. The cab light IS a PWM signal controlled circuit.

This is great! Just have one question. What is the long term reliability those blade connectors, since they’ll be running under the truck?

Yes correct. The cab light itself is PWM but the wire tapped at the switch is not.
