Definitely best ~$10 I’ve spent on a mod.

Anybody have a solution for reattaching stripped out snap screws? One of mine finally gave up and a few others are on the verge of getting pulled out from the aluminum railing.

X2. Mine are about to let loose. I’m wondering if I can pop rivet them in.

Everything they said, except I didn't want to permanently attach it to my brand new purchase. Instead I attached it to a thin steel bar, and I have rare earth magnet inside the topper holding it in place. Rock solid and good for my commitment issues.

I like those ideas, how did the wiring go? I just bought that light in the link. And I see it has 4- wires I want to know theorientation. Also the metal plate withmagnets sounds like a good idea

Has anyone had issues, or found a remedy, for this? Just got a softopper put on and within about two months the flap at the front has rubbed off the paint on my cab. When the wind hits that front window it pushes back a bit and that flap kicks up and rubs. Did I install it incorrectly? I have the other flap inside velcro to the inside bed.

Looks about right. They don't seal 100%. Dust is really bad and will get everywhere

I was thinking of moving the rails more towards the cabin of the bed to close that small gap

Touch it up and then cover with some paint protection film. I use this anywhere it has contact with paint or I notice rubbing.

Seal around your tailgate. It helps. I used the ESI ultimate tailgate seal. Helps for those really cold night as well if you're planning on sleeping back there.

Probably just measure what you need and head down to ace hardware.
