I've ran the stage 1 eibach kits and Bilsteins 5100s and MUCH preferred Eibach over the Bilsteins.

I'm hoping the stage 2 coilovers are even better than stage 1... I actually have a full set of stage 1 in my garage now... But decided to run stage 2 this time and ordered them, front and rears, last week from Eibach.

    Looks great.

I'm going to do similar.... But also do a front diff drop and the ECGS bushing at the time of lift install as well...

I went from OEM OR susp to Stage 1 then to Stage 2... you're going to LOVE Stage 2

I have, the newly revalved Stage 2 helps absorb a lot of the bumps and dips when wheeling but it's firm enough to keep you planted and feel confident on the trail.

I'm doing Mojave Road end of the month so it'll definitely be a good test for these

Alright I ordered a set from their website probably talking what, 10 days for shipping hopefully? At least with Eibach you can call them and get someone on the phone, a couple of the others I called had no clue.

How high do you have them cranked up? How much lift in the front did you get?

Honestly, I have no clue :rofl:when I had Eibach install my Stage 1, I didn't get pre install measurements so I have nothing to compare to stock. I asked them to install Stage 2 to where my Stage 1 was at.

I'm currently at ~22.5in from center hub to fender in the fronts... how much lift did I gain in the front from stock :anonymous:

    Stock is 21 IIRC.

You ideally don't want to surpass 23 unless you want to deal with increased wear.

I went to 22.5 as well, with 33's it looks the best IMHO.

ALSO question for everyone... Did you all get a sway bar relocate? I'll triple check the box but mine did not.

I am interested in doing the Mojave Road also. Let me know how it goes. I am very interested in the water level at the river crossing this time of year, meaning if it is too deep for Tacos (i.e. water in the cab).

Cool. Why are you doing the diff drop and bushings? Just to be safe or do you know it needs it?

IIRC you don't need to do a diff drop or even ECGS most the time if you aren't surpassing 23+

Diff drop is to correct CV angles, even an inch of lift changes the angle... You can likely go a long time without having issues if you don't offroad often, but it will create increased wear. Angles are important.

The ECGS is a fix to a common issue with lifted Tacomas and happens quite a bit actually. Check this thread, it includes a poll...

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/needle-bearing-failure-with-lift-how-many.486735/

Can you get away with not doing these things? Sure... But I'd personally rather not chance it and have everything done while it's all pulled apart anyways.

Definitely man, although I heard the river has been filled in w/ rocks so it's not deep at all anymore. Seems like a stock height taco could make it through no problem even w/ extra rain, water run off,

EDIT. From the Mojave Road thread in Socal Section.

I didn't like the suspension on my 2016 Sport 6MT I bought used nor on my 2020 Sport 6MT I bought new. Extremely soft and makes shifting gears annoying. I installed an add a leaf that stiffened up the rear and made it more enjoyable to drive. Cannot wait to do something up front.

I didn't find it soft per se just feels like it bottoms out to easy and bounces too easily at the same time. It's like I don't have shock absorbers just springs with more springs in them.

Also Eibach says "processing" so I suppose shipping in a couple days.
