ya i've got the frame plates cut out so just need to get the main body of it cut out when i find the time.

 

Shit like that is ridiculous. Way to steer me away from relentless bumpers when it comes time.

Russel bought the truck used so I don't think it's his fault entirely. IIRC when you do a 6" lift it prevents you from putting on the bar correctly unless you get the relocate bracket. On top of that you can't just take it completely off because with that much heigh you get tippy in a hurry.

I could be totally wrong about the above, but the fact still remains is that russel needs to wheel with us at TSF

 

Russels truck is a 6" fabtech basic lift w/5100s cranked to sit at 8" lift. No body. but yes, sway bar upside down.

So you can't really notice the sway bar with the stock bumper and it came that way so I never bothered to put thought into it. Lol sorry to offend anyone.

No body lift.

ya there's no body lift, i looked it up and called 4wheelparts and they said when doing the 6 inch drop bracket lift the sway bar is flipped to acomadate the drop bracket, i'll take a look at it more tomorrow but everything seems to be working the same its just upside down.

 

The way that top plate comes down at an angle appeals to me. Nice work man.

 

I'll bring the nattys and axe body spray. It'll be an all you can rape buffet.

Damn thought I fixed my post but i missed it. Fixed up now.

I would avoid calling 4wheelparts for advice in the future, they are bad news. I use them for checking out parts locally, but will take business elsewhere.

Had some time to do research and get facts straight.
-A sway bar relocate is for 3" lifts to move the bar towards the nose to clear coils. This is mainly for toytec, I didn't need it for the OME.
-a sway bar drop bracket is for 6" lifts to keep the sway rightside up. The main benefit is that it keeps the sway tucked up instead of being the first thing you hit.


Tim, take a look at , 8th pic. It's for an '04, but the drop brackets are the c-shaped things in the upper right. You can make some easy peasy.

 

haha ya i dont do anything through 4wheelparts, russell bought the truck from portland so just assumed they probabaly did it since the sway bar is upside down haha i was just calling to see what there reasoning was.

the drop bracket would be easy to build and we probably will eventually but right now its doing what it needs to so he'll just have to avoid hitting any big rocks head on.
