Not sure about the east side but ct motorsports in missauga rebuilds them. @Joe23 had his rebuilt.

I think d3 offroad does as well based on their insta page.

Well, if you put a plow on the front swisha would be no problem.

The Mattracks are surprisingly quiet, nothing like the linked metal tracks on excavators (and tanks). Wonder how often they go through wheel bearings? A lot of extra weight and leverage on the hubs, but they are elevated high above water and mud.

    Question for people on here...

My girlfriend is needing a new vehicle and really likes the Rav4. We looked at one the other day that was an '18 base LE model with 32,000km for $22,000. I noticed rust on the chassis and a dime sized bubble on the driver door sill. We requested the Carfax and it came back with a collision of nearly $10k as well as it having been always previously registered in Nfld. which explains the rust from worse winters.

We looked at another today that is a '16 fully loaded Limited, with 32,500km for $25,000. Carfax came back with a minor right side collision of $1900. I went over the entire right side very thoroughly and see nothing of concern and zero indications of any rust whatsoever.

From what I can see on Autotrader nationwide, that seems reasonably priced for the very low mileage.

What are your thoughts on it? Anyone have experience, good or bad, with the Rav4?

Rav4s are good because they have the same mirrors as the Tacoma?

    That's my 2 cents

Yes that's the reason we have $40 sequential mirror turn signals available to us on eBay

Not a huge fan of the Rav4, just based on styling and what you get for the money. SUV market is super competitive so I find other things more attractive (CX5 in particular), that said Ive never owned a Rav.

but if you feel Rav4 is the one and want to visit the Ol' North:

Great place to do some research https://www.rav4world.com/forums/4-4-general.123/

The fourth generation RAV is a very popular vehicle Built in Ontario! Good decision ruling out the one from Newfoundland but this low mileage blue Limited would be very nice with all the options and I love the colour. I am not sold on the fifth generation RAV4.

I think that would be a good choice for your girlfriend and a very safe, versatile and capable vehicle. I purchased a 2012 third-generation RAV the last year they made them to get the V6 2GR-FE engine option. Mine is a limited and the fanciest vehicle I have ever owned and I have no regrets. The AWD is amazing for winter driving. I chose this vehicle after much research regarding reliability.

I believe the fourth generation are very reliable as well and as long as your girlfriend doesn’t mind driving a vehicle that almost everyone has especially older people like myself.

This is mine With 2016 RAV4 LE faux alloys (hubcaps) For my winter set up. Just to be goofy I put a big black stripe on the hood and the TRD decal on the back!

What's your budget? I would stay from previous gen RAV4, looks ugly and overall it's a boring car to drive vs previous gen or the latest one.

For under 30K you can get a nice 2-3 year old off the lease German and enjoy the comfort of the vehicle. They aren't hard or expensive to keep on the road either. Once you go European (not you VW:luvya:) you can't DD Domestic/Japanese/Korean shit boxes, sorry guys...

Yeah, we have looked at others, but she is also very petite, just shy of 5' tall. Everything prior she had found either too big, or too much like her current sedan.

Exactly what I saw from my research. I also asked my dad, as he is one of those people that actually subscribes to and reads the Consumer Report in depth, and he said the same.

She is also a nurse and will be starting community nursing doing home visits throughout the entire of Lambton County and some of the neighboring counties as well which will mean lots of mileage and also the wonder lake Huron squalls.

I'm pretty confident in it, but figured it doesn't hurt to ask around and get as much info as possible.

So I could put my extra set of @MESO Ultimate turn signals in it? That may be the only thing she let's me do to it.

No. The direct interchange is with the XA50 RAV4 (2019+). The XA40 mirror lights are shaped slightly differently on the inside.
