Ended up just putting it on at 200lb ft. Unfortunately the alternator pulley was wrong. I got a smooth backed one and needed one with a lip. Used the OEM dampener pin instead of the rolled one that came with the NST pulley. Had to file the keyway ever so slightly, thanks for the heads up @12TRDTacoma

That bloody lip is impossible to see until the pulley is off. Same thing happened to me.

 

Can’t a few washers work as a spacer to bring it forward?

I emailed NST, we shall see what they say. If they dont deliver, I might take you up on that.

Right! They look identical installed.

It totally would, but I paid for a pulley, and I'd rather get what I paid for than rig something up myself.

 

They swapped mine out. Same thing happened to me.

 

Well, I've just had a pain in the ass week. To top it off my truck threw the SC belt the other day. Wasn't too far from home so drove back. Upon inspection the nut appeared loose on the lower tensioner/serpentine pulley. Tried tightening nut and it kept spinning but the threads looked good on nut and stud.

Turns out the stud broke off in the block. Some obvious damage/wear to the fancy crank pulley and SC pulley edges and some rounding off where the stud mounts to the engine.

Already drilled a hole in the broken off stud piece and have to borrow some extractors from my dad this afternoon. Think the chunk should come out pretty easy.

Too much rouche tensioner muscle? Running 23mm pulley and 69" belt.

Have to order parts on Monday. If I get the stud chunk out I can put the serp back on and run without the SC.
