I hope this sheds some light on why we have had to continually adjust our policy, make updates to the software, make previous versions obsolete, etc. What is happening to you guys has happen to us tenfold

 

You were definitely the OG and started getting people interested in custom tuning

This ^ so easy to do. Takes like 20 minutes.

 

Should vFtuner owners have to purchase fellow owner/user created tunes? It’s one thing to hustle owner created tunes to general public another to hustle “family”. What’s the motivation that’s my question.

 

The douchery has gotten outta hand...

 

People will screw over another at the blink of an eye. Think about it... You buy PapaRee tune, and great you run it, but now you decide to share it with others and flash others trucks with it. Just because it's locked doesn't mean it won't get abused.

 

When I first dipped into the world of these tunes and came across people tuning others honestly it pissed me off that people had the ability to make money off others hard work and for some jackass to say oh try my tune I will flash your truck ,wtf dude to me your stealing like a lil b@#ch

 

We will be stopping that via VIN-Locking file options for pro tuners.

People who work hard and innovate should not have their hard work passed around without their permission.

 

Personally I would never take anyones tune I keep your tunes just for my truck and no one else's . I came to this tune world to better my truck and my truck only . If people want to tune their damn trucks quite being cheap asses and buy the whole damn program

 

I personally won't flash his stuff to anyone without talking to him. That's just me though.

The only two vehicles I've sold tunes to, we're actually his f*ckin tune. LOL.
However, he sent me the files and was entirely aware of the situation!

I also asked Mat back in the beginning of this, if it was ok to flash for cash. That's just how I am.

 

Amen brother this makes me happy to hear you making possible for these guy's hard work to be protected good man

 

No one has to buy anything thing.. no one buys and there’s no incentive to try and sell

 

I’m all for sharing and user created tunes but I don’t trust any of you enough to flash something without knowing what’s inside

 

I knew for me to get my truck dialed in to the way my truck is set up I needed to get vf tuner there was no way I was gonna let some rando touch my ecu other than the tuning professionals ,in the back of my head I still worry we get some guy on here a taco hater and he plants a bomb for our motors lol but that's me being paranoid lmao

 

I'm all for testing for you guys I love playing a part where hopefully I can help anyone of you guys that need it

 

I'll freely admit that I've observed progress from @Mooseditty17 and others and used it to make edits to maps that I've then flashed and charged for, but my tuning partner and I have a policy against actually flashing other user-created maps. This is because if we can't verify edits and stand behind them confidently, then we have no business flashing such a map. I don't know what went into paparee's stuff, I'm not going to just take his map and flash it, idfk what's going to happen to the truck as a result because I can't verify that 100% of everything that has been done is safe.

Same with moosetitties tunes. Sure, I used stuff that he learned and shared with the community to improve on maps. But I made those edits myself in conjunction with others, and I go out of my way to deny customers, to not flash those specific user created tunes when requested, because I don't know what else was put into those maps and can't vouch for it 100%. I can't actually verify that Moose's entire tune looks to be g2g, idk what was [potentially] snuck in there, I'm not taking his map and flashing it.

Maybe it's a little extra paranoia, maybe it's toeing a fine line and there's not much distinction there, idk. But that's how I see it and that's my policy on the situation.
