    1. I'm 5-11 and 4 way has been fine for me.
    2. No
    3. 2 out of 10. Super easy since you'll be prewired (unless you go utility version I believe, but could be wrong). Would also recommend intermittent wiper mod at the same time. Will run you under $500 of EOM parts for both.
    4. There is a way to 3m tape OEM fender flares to an SR, can't speak to the dirt aspect. I think most SR owners go mudflaps instead. If you really want the flares, look at the SX trim package.

    1. I picked up the Front Seat Jackers from @EasyDoesIt for a more comfortable seating position, I'm 6'2" also.

    2. Nope. I've seen some factory leather takeoffs in the BST forum, but never committed.
    3. You'll be fine if you follow @Nitori guide.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/nitoris-oem-sr-foglight-mod.451495/
    4. No interest in fender flares.

I recommend an SX if Access Cabs work for you.

Nevermind, saw you're looking for a DC.

I concur, go Utility Package SR AC LB. $23k for my 2017 MT 4x4 2.7L (which is built in Japan = most reliable!).
I sure don't miss the back seats and my dog loves the rear platform.
The long bed is best for everything that a bed is used for.

    1. Once I get my seat into position, I never have to move it. So 10-way means nothing to me.
    2. I wrapped my steering wheel simply to protect it. The wrap is easily replaced when worn or damaged. Also the wrap offers a thicker feel to the wheel; which fits my hands better.
    3. I added the fog lights myself and it was a piece of cake to do so. Added ditch lights and under hood lights at the same time.
    4. I don't want the fender flares. I like the look, but hate the rust they can cause by trapping corrosives. I am considering vinyl wrap appliqués for the same look, but haven't installed yet.
    5. I added a trailer hitch. I have the MT, so no need for a transmission cooler.
    6. I added aftermarket mud flaps to save the paint. Mine are flexible and won't break if they hit after I roll over a rock or log or ledge (unlike the factory ones). But they also warp in the wind. I don't mind the look but others might. (Wish the photo was smaller.)

Thanks for the answers! Yeah I can't go with an access cab, since children are in the plans for the near future. Definitely would help with cost though.

    Thanks. Sounds good to me.

Thanks. That would be super nice if it was prewired. I've seen that many people have done it, but I haven't looked into the process too closely yet. Seems like it's easy enough though. Regarding the SX package, seems like that only comes on access cabs which is a bummer.

Thanks! Those seat jackers seems like a good mod. Been seeing a lot of positive feedback on them.

I didn't even think of swapping a steering wheel. Not a bad idea, but then I'd have to mess with airbag stuff, which seems sketchy lol. I figure I won't mind the urethane wheel. My wife's car and my last couple cars, while they were quite old, all had leather steering wheels. Seems like everyone thinks this one is fine though which is good.

In regards to the steering wheel and fog lights, you have to take the wheel off anyways to get the OEM fog light switch on, so might as well kill two birds with one stone and do it at once.

However, I really think it sounds like an SR5 might be the trim to consider. On top of that, SR5's are one of the best looking trucks right off the lot these days if you get the badge blackout and painted bumper caps.

Smart to do it all at once, but it's not necessary. When I installed fogs, I just put the switch in the panel low & left of the steering wheel. Never pulled the steering wheel once, not even to install cruise control.

Spring time in Alaska means new shoes. Firestone destination XT in LT265/75r16. This size just works on Taco’s.

With the Avid Offroad bed cage for the spare tire. Time to get that other spare tire out from under the bed though.

That setup looks good, but that’s 95lbs to 97lbs per corner, depending on C vs E rated tires. If it’s a trail rig only, no big deal.

PS, truck info under his user name.

Thanks. I'm running the 3.5L. Not the 2.7L if that's what you were thinking with the added weight. Either way its a decent amount of weight added but I'll add some gearing if I feel I need some more pep.

Installed these Cali Raised bed stiffeners. Was wondering if anyone else had a little bit of screeching noise after installing them?

Here’s my setup. 2019 2WD 4 banger with stock wheels and tires. Planning on going with 285/70/17. I know MPG is gonna take a hit big time and it’ll be slow as hell, but I’d rather experience it than always be thinking about it. I can always size down to 265 or try pizza cutters if I think 285 is too big.

Yeah those tires look good but may be too heavy for a 4 cylinder. Right now my top 2 choices are BFG KO2 and TOYO Open Country AT3, 285s C rated. They seem to be the lightest also.

It did not show his truck info on the iphone. I did see it after logging on the computer though.
