Trying to decide if upgrading to the toyota LED headlight and fog light package is worth it and if there is any photos showing the difference. Been looking but can't find anything

Edit: for clarity it's the LED upgrade from toyota on the package option when building it on the website.

Don't even bother looking, it's 100% worth it. I've had both, and others lol. OEM LED are worth the money, just do it.

Thanks brotha appreciate the help. Putting a down payment this weekend at the dealer and turning in the spec sheet for the Cement grey. Just gotta wait 4 months for it to be built. Super stoked

Imagine a candle vs the flash on your phone. That’s literally the difference. :)

Well worth it in my opinion.

Just a heads up, they’re not actually built for you. Each dealer is allocated vehicles so they try to match up your spec sheet to the allocation. Many times they can’t get exactly what you want. There’s a few posts on the forum with more info in you need more.

Fogured I’d give you a heads up so you’re not disappointed. :)

No problem. I applaud you doing your research prior to buying unlike some. If you search here you will not find one person who didn't go from the halogens to the LED's and think it was worth it. You will find a bunch here who say the halogens are fine, or they must be ok since Toyota sells them , but check out a thread where actual people have owned both.

Also, it cost me about $1300 to upgrade, I think the LED option package is like $600-$700 right? Easy choice for me.

Ah man that's news to me thank you for telling me that. I feel a little mis lead because the fleet manager I spoke with def said "we'll have toyota build it to your spec sheet."

So really they just find one that is close as possible? Do you mind linking me to the thread you mentioned..would love to dig in. Thanks bro.

Light bars cant be used as headlights. Fog lights also cant be used as headlights.

Neither of those options are road legal. I don't see how they can be considered a viable alternative for OP. And they're not headlights like you said.

Videos are typically all marketing. Here is a data based review from the 3rd Gen headlight thread: here.

Long story short, the OEM LEDs are well worth it, a significant high and low beam upgrade at minimal cost difference when ordered from the factory vs trying to convert them after the fact.

    This is accurate.

    This is not accurate.

There is no substitute for quality headlights. A light bar or fog light is not a replacement for a low beam. Fogs are short range and light bars do not have cut offs for use with other traffic.

Correct. They just find one close and try to sell you that. If you’re not picky you may find what you’re looking for; or very close.

There’s a ton of posts about it but below is the best I could find. Try searching if you need more info. You have to read through some of the comments in the following thread. Hope it helps!
