Anyone else have a loud clanking in the front when you hit a bump or whatever. I have a 16 tacoma with a lift but it was noisy before that.

Had the same noise with My 16 and 18, so far my 21 its been quiet.
Honestly other than a noise it never became an issue.
    16 and 18 where SR5, 18 was 4x4 the 21 is TRD OR 4x4.

    Good info right there.
But this is a clank noise coming from the front, like spring stretching or getting back in place, something like that, not rubber or squeak noise.
Mostly like OP stated going over a speed bumps.
I got my 16 truck looked at in the dealer and they told me that they confirm replicating the noise but couldn't see where the noise was coming from and that the whole front suspension looked fine and tight.
the told me to bring the truck back if that noise get worse, but never did and I guess I got used to it. Then Got my 18 and same noise came up right out of the dealer....then my thought was it might be a Tacoma thing....

Do you have running boards installed? I notice the occasional clank when going down curbs because the body roll of the truck is slightly moving the front bracket even though it’s tightly bolted.

Same with my 17, just recently started. When going over speed bumps (not every time though), after going over it, and on the compression part after the speed bump I will sometimes hear a little "pop"

What shocks are on it? If it's during wheel down travel, it could be top out if everything else like bushings / joints check out fine.

Also, check your radiator mount bushings. Those can go bad

    Mine does the same.

Pretty sure it's the sway bar impacting because the truck is lifted.

Removing sway bar this weekend to confirm.

    Yes
Would say sway bar. I had the same issues after installing new suspension. Just needed to be tightened up a bit.

I had the same problem even with the sway bar relocate. It was making contact with the radiator brackets. I ended up removing it completely. Wouldn't recommend doing so unless you have heavy coil springs

My 2016 started making a clank, squeak over bumps barely 2 years after I bought it brand new. Bought the radiator/frame mount upgraded bushings that are talked about ad naseum on here. When I pulled the factory bushings out that were only 2 years old, they were completely fucked. after replacing, no issues or noises at all.

I suggest getting a set of chassis ears (they are less than $100 on Amazon) and moving them around until you find exactly where the sound is instead of just buying every single part every mentions in this thread.
