Bilstein 5100’s installed all around on my 2012 PreRunner at 80k miles. No lift but OEMs and Bilsteins installed a couple of notches higher. I am always on-road and was looking for a better ride. The Bilsteins have delivered. Ordered from Suspension Connection for a good price. Did not ship same day or next as advertised but still arrived in under a week.

Just got back from almost 3 weeks in Utah. Found some of my favorite camp spots ever on this trip. Here's a little teaser for y'all.

Past couple days. Created a hover truck while rotating the tires and also replaced the radiator support bushings. Those were way shot. I gotta check my other body mounts but the truck feels a lot smoother now, less chatter in the frame and the bumper doesn’t move independently of the hood now. That had been bothering me for some time.

Finally finished the Big 3 upgrade with the proper circuit layout, preserving the intended route through the high amp alternator fuse. It took a little screwing around but it's done properly now. Next major project is the frame cleanup and all new suspension, as soon as I can get a couple days of good weather.

Does it matter which puck you put on top/bottom? I thought the small one was supposed go on top but i've seen almost 50/50 people do the big puck on top.

Looks like you could use some frame caps: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/frame-caps-by-squareone-creations.683555/

I think the instructions say small on top but the bigger on top gives you better support? I have a set but haven't installed them yet.

Nice! I've got the same setup in my garage... just waiting for some bump stops.

How do you like the ride with the new springs and shocks? What configuration did you go with on the springs?

I'd rather have the big puck on top for more surface area. Also matters for spacing. My fender flares are old but if I didn't have the bigger puck on top, my flares would be contacting my front bumper. There's actually a spot on either side where the flares have rubbed the powdercoat off my bumper from all the past movements.

I thought about that and might be kicking myself now that I didnt. I had the stock ones moved over. I figure if the batteries go out then its no different than if I didnt move them at all. Dash light is a dash light so I will run 'em till they die I guess haha.
