I went by this and it worked fine. Got a bag of #10 stainless machine screws for a couple dollars locally.

I did this... and I have a few comments and a question before I go driving.

    1. Removing the SR blank bumper slats isn’t very easy. They seem to break if you you just pull them out and I was careful. They are reusable yet but better to push the little tabs up / down then just yank.

    2. I got the harness / fogs in through the top quite easy with a ratcheting wrench with a Phillips bit stuck in.

    3. I was a little confused at the relay panel. The missing relay on it indicated where the tow lights are. I put it in and it didn’t line up regimented with the others. Oh well it worked.

    4. I got confused on how to remove the clockspring / module. The tabs aren’t quite so easy to identified. They are at 12, 8, and 4 o’clock... a bit more recessed in towards the dash. I also then wasn’t sure how to remove the switches. It goes out away from the spindle at 12 and 6 towards the seat... then there’s one thick tab that has to bend towards you for the wiper switch to then be a able to slide out. (I read about removing screws, I got lost in that and little tabs... don’t do that.

    5. my main question - my clock spring was put back center. I didn’t see orange. Is that only for replacement clock springs? Seems fine. I fired it up without the harness to the grill attached. I got a bunch of errors see dealer. Undid battery negative. Plugged it all in... all works...

I’m a little nervous to go drive it and destroy my clock spring. Maybe someone can chime in and do it a little faster if they read this. After these things are cleared up, it’s a very straight forward install.

It’s right, but I didn’t think reading the panel how it lines up / would be backwards English.

Relay is reversed too compared to the other. That’s just maybe how it is.

It’s all in and working. The clock spring sets dead center and I from factory that little wheel thing in the window of the clock spring is yellow.

Actually no, I took it off and turned it around... the clips lining up to the other and the relay location didn’t match up with English from left to right.

*clam shell just wasn’t on completely right on the lock cylinder. All good now! No more shh shh noises tuning the wheel randomly.

I'm going to put my bd's on as soon as all of my parts come in, I have the same fog light covers/bezels as you have, not the "more squared" ones I see on installation videos. Did you have good fitment with the ones pictured on your truck? Thanks!

The whole setup has been flawless for close to 4 years now, wouldn't change it for anything.

Update for this post... Just did this install on my 2021 SR with V6 and SX package, which was prewired....Only thing of note is when I went to installed the relay under the HOOD (not dash) I found Toyota had already supplied one for me....Now I have a spare....

What relay under the dash? My 2019 SR fog light relay is in the engine compartment fuse box (fog light fuse was already there but had to install the Relay). Is the 2021 different?

I'm adding baja designs using the dash switch on my 2016 SR. What I believe is the "unused power source" to illuminate my foglight switch is connected to my bed light switch. I took off the green and beige wires and my bed light switch isn't illuminated anymore. Has anyone had this issue and used other wires from the connector? I'm a total newbie with automotive wiring. I believe worst case scenario I'll still be able to use the switch, but it will not be illuminated.

The green and beige wires on the cargo/bed light connector are the switch illumination power. If you took them off the connector of course your switch light won’t come on. If you want to power another switch light you leave the wires connected to the connector and tap off of the green and beige wires to go to the new switch illumination power wires.
