What light bar did you end up going with in your BAMF? I got the Hybrid bumper on the way, still trying to figure out which light bar to get.

    Nice truck btw

Man...I had some catching up to do.

Did you use the Meguiars on the front lower on the bumper? Curious how it does with that. Mine's pretty cloudy.

    Very clean install!

Dude. We keep ending up in a similar situation with our trucks! My Kenwood works great - 97% of the time! Car Play just doesn't pick up, or Waze goes belly up, or it shuts off....thing is my pro car-audiophile bud says the amp in the excelon HU's is a cut above most other makes....and my system is so dialed in between the HU/AMP/Sub and speakers, i hate to mess with it. Sound is sublime.

That Seicane is gonna make me start doing some homework.

Completed my onboard air compressor install. Modified the ARB harness with the Cruiserhead pigtails for the locker switches. The switches fit perfectly in the center console! I moved the usb jack over 1 position (had to dremel out some new notches to accommodate). I spliced in dash lights on the dark green wire at the heater controls; and picked up control power from the 12v socket. I forgot to take a final picture of the completed center dash - I’ll do that tomorrow.

EDIT: I had to open up the dash again & separate the the CH4X4 grounds from the ARB harness. Ganged them up & spliced them into a green/white-stripe dimmer wire. Now the dash illumination works correctly on the new switches. :D

Nice. Getting to the bolt in the fuse box is a pain. When I did the big 3/4, I removed the entire engine harness no 2, reused the plastic pieces, and replaced all the wires with smaller gages, then reinstalled it.

The RTMR how to thread was the resource I used for it.

Big 4? That's new, haven't looked into it much for the Tacoma, did the big 3 on my previous vehicle so I assume the Tacoma has an extra one somewhere due to body on frame?

Why are you ripping out the main harness? Is it not just 3 normal 6ga wires?

Battery to fender, engine to frame, body to frame? 4th is...? Frame to battery?

Replaced the fuse box wires with larger? Which plastic pieces?

    Now I'm scared sarge.

Gonna need the link to that RTMR thing you mentioned.

I did my ECGS bushing , re installed my oem cv’s that I re booted and re greased and adjusted my Kings.
Washed my engine compartment and installed my awning. I have had this awning for several months and was waiting to get a roof rack to i stall it. But after washing my truck today I decided to see if it would work on my bed rack with my rtt. It actually worked really well. I will probably still do a roof rack and move the awning to it bit this will work in the mean time. I also may move it to the rear of the rack to raise it about 9 inches and have it extend over the tailgate.

Project Farm did a review of trim restoration products. That one far outshined the rest of the products he tested. Based on his results, you should be good for a while.

I guess it is how you count it. Been a while, but I think it was:

1 - Starter pos to battery pos
2 - alt pos to fuse box pos to battery pos
3 - Starter neg to battery negative
    4- battery neg to frame

Here is the link I was thinking of. He has a great RTMR thread on TW which lead me to his page on the big 3. Once you read it, you'll understand what I mean by harness and how its all combined/wrapped up together (to remove/replace one wire, you need to take it apart). Essentially to do it the way he did it, and I did it, you'll need to remove the harness, reuse the plastic piece (or not), reuse the starter to alternator plug, and replace all the other wires. Then retape it, put heat shield back on (I bought some cause the 0 gage wouldn't fit within the original). I guess if you were just adding wires in addition to engine harness no 2 and not replacing them as I did, that'd be a different approach, and probably why I am scaring you.

    http://www.bodenzord.com/archives/477

This thread was immensely helpful to get to the alternator to fuse box - fuse box to battery bolt.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-box-battery-wire-replacement-upgrade.420450/

Hopefully this helps. I have a 2015 by the way. Not sure if yours is different. Let me know if I can answer more questions. Not an expert, but did this a few years ago.

As do I. I appreciate how straightforward he is with his testing methods, opinions, and results. No BS, no stories, no pandering, just tells it like it is.
