First time poster here. Just purchased a 2019 TRD OR. I have started the wallet emptying journey of mods. For my next mod, I needs to do something with the shift changes and pedal hesitation. I have read a little bit about a TSB to flash an updated ECM. What do I need to ask for at my dealership? How do I know I am getting the most recent updates? Sorry for the newbie questions but just want to get started. Thanks!

    Too many to count
You can go to the dealer and get the TSB updates, I'm not sure if they charge for it or not though. It may depend on dealer. I have a 2017 Manual TRD OR and went the route of getting my truck tuned with the KDMAX 6.0 tune which also came with the most recent TSB. The other tune option is to get a tune from OVTune.

Here's a thread that discusses the differences in the two a little bit.

    Go to east TN.
Middle TN terrain is same as Cobb county & surrounding area.
West TN is like south GA.

TN is shaped so weird that can mean a lot of places. If you are talking about the corner from Ducktown, to Tellico Plains, it's actually really nice but there is nothing to do there other than outdoor activities. Are you camping? If so, you will have a good time. If I were looking for a place to go, I would drive the Cherohala Skyway and then branch off and hit some of the gravel F.S roads that you'll come across as you make the drive. There are a lot to try. Bald River Falls is worth a visit but it will be crowded on the weekend.

If that is too far out of your way you could take hwy68 North from the GA line up to Tellico Plains. There are numerous side roads to explore. None of it will be particularly challenging. Some of the roads have water crossings though. You'll have much better views if you do the Cherohala.

You could take 68 up to the Coker Creek area and then head east via gravel roads over to Bald River Falls.

Let me know if you have more questions.

If you’re in the Chattanooga/north Georgia area there’s a pretty great new fab shop. I showed him the SSO slimline and this was his interpretation.

    Sheit.

Bought small spool of flux core weld wire yesterday assuming I would run out of weld gas on my project today.
Ran out of gas this evening then found I don't have the right size tip for that flux core wire diameter and I don't have the bushings needed to run a spool smaller than 10lb either. :frusty:

Looks like Northern Tool is the only place open Sunday to trade out a gas cylinder or get a 10lb spool of flux core around here. May as well do gas. Or both.

Ew. Flux core is nasty shit. I’d postpone a project just to not have to run flux core.

After typing this out, I realize that I’ve become spoiled with access to good MIG and TIG welders and I’m now a snob.
