Someone mentioned in the Ontario BS thread that it would be nice to compile people’s truck builds for people in the province.

Add up your build thread and tag me so I can compile all the build links or just post your build!

This thread can also be a way to ask general tech questions such as shops, or suspension tech for instance. The bs thread can get some items lost in it, so this is a bit more compiled.

    I gotta question for Tacoma16:
When you swapped the t case if you just left the twin stick shifter for the fj case where dose it come up into the cab.
Eg. In a cup holder, in the center console maybe by the shifter. Just planning my next move...
    Thanks.

pretty much comes right out where the stock shifter is. You can see how much I trimmed to make the twin sticks come out and clear.

I went with the “bolt” on shifters, but I would just bend and weld them if I could go back and re-do it. It’s all bolted in anyways, so if you have to drop the case you can just unbolt the twin sticks and your good.

    Hope that helps!

edit: you’re a manual so I’m not sure if this is going to help......

It dose help. At least I gives me an idea of where it's going to come out.
I'm hoping not have to do anything but cut the floor.
    Thanks.

I had the tcase in and out a few times. It sucked benching it into position a couple times. Literally just put some grease on the shifters and could see where I needed to cut. I cut my hole pretty big and used a high temp rubber gasket material to sandwhich it. Drilled some hole and used rivnuts to seal it all. Similiar to a stock shifter. But uglier. Much much uglier lol

Should help since you can seal the tcase with the boots for the twin sticks and then do a separate seal for the floor. Instead of trying to do an all in one but the floor and tcase move separately of each other.

Nope. My ecu is gone. I wired up the case directly to the dash through the diagram in the fj thread.

ok so did the locker anytime but can't unplug the 4wd ecm connectors yet to remove the flashing 4lo and 4wd icon lights.
When I so unplug the connectors the abs and traction lights come on but the 4lo and 4wd lights go off.
