Hey guys look at my pic for my taco,

Im thinking this what do you guys think?

Black out tacoma badges, blacked grill (not sure how hard that is), and possibly blacked out headlights however I hear this one is a little difficult and Im iffy on that one.

Was thinking of doing the wheels but they are already starting to carode <--- no clue how to spell that and im in college I feel like a idiot.

So going to see if toyota might do something about them if not, then I might paint them but then I think that would be to much ya know?

    Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? Advice?

for sure black out the badges. Use that plastidip. you dont even have to take them off the truck. everyone here seems to swear by it. Satoshi grill! BHLM would be tight but I hear it is hard and I personally do no want to take that seal apart on the light because if it doesn't seal back up the insides fog up. I would even paint the lower valance on the front bumper. a lot of the guys with the swb tacos did this. looks pretty good. I would paint the wheels. Use a heavy duty rustolium paint. That might help with the corrosion. Neil (Maxtacoma) has the same thing going on with his wheels. the other cool thing guys are doing is the hood strut mod. its cheap and easy... then you dont have to use the little bar to keep the hood open.

check those out. all the cheap/free mods. every college kid's best friend. haha

Removed the cabinets no before pics but progress pics.

Now reinstalling them a little higher felt cramped.

your truck would awesome with the blacked out badges, grill, and headlights. i also like the lower valence blacked out too. not sure if u have seen that done but i think it looks cool IMO.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/36351-honest-what-do-you-think.html

i had my wheels powdercoated by a company here in dayton. turned out really nice and should last a long time.

oh boy, remodeling the kitchen. i just got done redoing mine and boy was it fun . we did new countertops, painted the cabinets(PITA!), walls and put down new flooring. i dont really care to see another paint brush again. i do like how it turned out though. still have to replace a swtich and put on a few wall plates, but other than that its done. good luck with yours. are you refinishing yours?

    Thanks!

No not refinishing mine, where we cook the cabinets are to close to the stove felt like there was no room to work so I just removed it with a friend and removed the microwave and moved it up about a foot.

Tomorrow my friend and I are doing the following lol

In wall mirror cabinet combo for bathroom, over sink

Over toilet cabinet (custom making this)

Making my cat a play area, making 2 sections, one about 5ft tall then a ramp to ontop of the cabinets because he loves to be high up.

    Tuesday if all goes well.

Black out grill, and emblems have to find some of that stuff biker was talking about.

still searching on the head lights, iffy on doing it myself.

Also might be ordering the AAL, the rear does not look right to me to low.

How much did they charge to powder coat?

Edit btw your aftershot of the kitchen looks amazing good work!!!!

Im a handy man as well but this is a apt, (live with mom and dad in the in-law apt) so I dont mind to fix it up a little but when big money starts coming out of my pocket I kind of keep it down. Still paying off truck want to put more money towards that!

Thanks, it was a lot of work sanding and painting those cabinets.

the powder coating was $60/wheel. that price was with me sand blasting them myself. i used my father-in-laws compresor and sand blaster tank thing so i only had to buy a $15 bag of sand.

I hate painting cabinets! They're just as bad as windows & door jams!!! the worst IMO...

I did a little painting myself this weekend. Check it out...

Next is to black out emblems and the door handles. Then I would like to find a factory rear bumper to paint black and install fog lights into.

at 25, your insurance should no longer be charging you as being a youthful driver. Also, at 35, you both could run for president! TW members FTW! :D

    nice remodeling!
