Kinda odd I mean, while you're in the 'hood why not install a transmission cooler...

Per VIN Specs: Eng Oil Cooler, Pwr Steering Cooler

Wonder if towing a 1,000 pound teardrop and 200-300 pounds in the bed in the
Arizona heat would matter that much... what say ye: Install one or not.

2016 -17 had an OE cooler.
No idea why Toyota decided it wasn’t needed?

I probably wouldn’t worry too much about it with what you stated above.
But a cooler definitely shouldn’t hurt. If you have the ability to add one, why not?

All the ATs still have a trans cooler, it's inside the drivers side coolant radiator end tank. The additional auxiliary air cooler was eliminated in roughly March 2020 production.

Fiddly dee they should have kept 'em... we had one installed on the Subaru but tow capacity is like 1500 pounds.
Subaru towed the little teardrop like a champ - I figure with the V6 and higher tow capacity it shouldn't be that big
of a deal. But I'll probably add for peace of mind. The little camper is 'little'... I mean if you have issues backing into
a spot you just unhitch .. lift it up and walk the damn thing into perfect position. I roll it out of and into the driveway
by hand at a slight incline.

Typically across most companies, trans coolers are usually installed with tow packages. So if your vehicle came with a tow package it would have a trans cooler. Not sure if this is how toyota does this across all models. My 2017 has the tow package and trans cooler.

Wonder then if it's just wise to change the ATF earlier... say at 30,000 miles.
