It would appear my latest response ended up hiding in the quoted txt, so I'm gonna try this. In response to you asking about the "Yellow Wire Mod", here's a link to the mod page, post 50 gives a good idea. Basically we are cutting a signal wire to trick the traction control box into thinking the transfer case is still in 4H, allowing trac. More in depth mods involve wiring in a 12 volt hot wire to remove the flashing.:

Would have been easier to just swap a skewped hood onto an OR

Totally agree, but a lot harder to swap a double cab onto a truck that came factory with the access cab.

Unfortunately in Canada, the off-road was only offered in access cab config (from what I saw and read). I was dead set on getting the TRD Off-road, but ultimately I need the double cab more than the rear locker and A-trac.

In hindsight, I probably would have been better off getting an SR5, and using my saved money towards upgrading my truck

When do you expect the Paypal invoices to go out?

I have child support, back taxes, probation and hookers and blow problems that I'd hate to be in the way of my 2LO trailer reversing ambitions.

    Can we Lay-A-Way?

    What about rent to own?

I'm unemployed too, but the Tacoma and the hookers are what really matters.

Should have an update either tomorrow or Saturday. Hookers and blow should remain on standby until that time.

So here's a quick update for everyone. The PCB's were a bit delayed due to a supply issue on a certain component but that has been resolved now. The PCB's are now done and have been shipped so I should be seeing those arrive next week.

All of the wires have been cut and stripped and the last bit of terminal crimping is being finished up right now. All of the wires and terminals are expected to be complete and ship next week.

    We are getting there!

Alright, took a look behind the glovebox, and it appears that the two mods should not interfere with each other, even though they do go through the same wiring harness. The Yellow Wire Mod involves cutting one of the wires as pointed out in the first picture (believe second from top, will double check when doing the mod), to prevent a signal from telling the traction control box that the transfer case is in low range. You can see the wire enter the harness that goes to the 4WD module in the second picture where the yellow circle is. I just don't see that wire pulling a u-turn there and heading up to the 4WD module.

So with that said, Count Me In @Grant83
