Hi! I have recently been looking into forums and I have been wanting to lift my truck for a while and now I am able to get what I need. I’ve bought the bilstein 6112 kit with the 5160 reservoir kit but I’m not sure if I should set it at the highest setting or the 3/4 clip. I have bought the bf Goodrich ko2 size 265 75 r16 and was wondering if that would rub on a 2 inch lift or how they would look. If anyone has a 2 inch lift running that tire size please share. Thank you! Any feedback and suggestions are welcome!

Welcome! You don't even need to lift it to fit 265/75/16's

I get mixed feedback though, if I were to run 33’s on max height which would be roughly 2.5 in of lift I would need a cmc but I don’t really want to do that

You said 265/75/16 which is only about 31.5" diameter. 285/75/16 is closer to 33"

265’s will still look good on a 2” lift IMO.

    GOOD LUCK OP

True. I have no idea why Bilstein keeps advertising these unicorns. I've been looking for an in-stock set for many months and might just have to upgrade to another brand. Can they seriously blame this shait on Covid? or did they find a flaw in the product or just decide to take a 6 month vacation?!

sortof stock. 6112/5160, pro wheels and a tune.
honestly, 3/4 is a great spot to be. 1” of lift, nothing needed out back. lots a range left in your alignment too.

You don’t need 2.5inch of lift to run 33 inch tires. You do need to do the CMC and trim plastic, but the tire needs to fit through the whole travel of the shock.

    4/3 clip is more like a 1.25" lift on a 2wd.

I'm 2wd and recently did 6/5 with 1/4" top plates and waiting for my fronts to settle.

You could do 5/5 and a 1/4" top plate on the driver side. Will more closely net a 2" lift.

I have the same lift and would recommend not doing the highest settings on the 6112s. Even with an inch and a half AAL in back, my front end is still higher than the back by about 1/4". I've heard it rides better when not at max setting too, but can't confirm.

I am having mine installed today on 3/4. I have a Wheelers 3 leaf AAL but holding off on installing. I saw you had one for sale. Just curious why you took it off. Thanks for any feedback.

Good to know. I want to see how it sits after 3/4. Then decide on the AAL and if I want to bump up to 4/5. Thanks!

    Without the AAL on 3/4?

Just got mine back this evening. Already liking the ride much better than the stock OR suspension. Waiting to take measurements to see how it settles. It’s definitely not too much lift, guessing will settle out to .75-1.0.”

265 75 r16 will probably be a little small for such a lift. If you are wondering how it will look on max settings with 17's here is is
    • 17X9 SCS SR8 (-10 offset)
    • 285/70 17 BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2
    • Bilstein 6112/5160, Icon AAL

I will say that after install of the 6112/5160 and alignment, there was no rubbing, I even had the front mudguards on. After install of the UCA's and another alignment, it now rubs on tight turns so I'll probably have to trim a little plastic, eventually. As for ride quality, it's as good as stock or better, just rides a little higher. Off road performance is fantastic, you'd have to get into some really rough stuff to get stuck.

If you are looking for the 6112/5160 combo in stock, try Rogue Off-Road in Vegas. They had some a week or so ago and seem to get regular shipments in.
