What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Which tailgate seal did you go with? There so many out there.

 

I really like how much lower this places a RTT above a Diamondback, since I’m lifting my dog into mine. Any plans to sell them?

Got this truck January '21 with lots of mods included (Fox racing lift w/ external res. with adjustments, SPC UCA's, Mickey Thompson wheels, DB Customz Grille insert, Body Armor Desert Series Rear Bumper, Iron Cross Steps, and the Ultra Flex Tonneau Cover just to name a few....) as the previous owner was trading it in for a brand new Ford Raptor. My buddy is one of the salesmen there and I had previously mentioned I was looking for a Tacoma to replace my older Jeep Grand Cherokee, so when he told me this had just dropped off and was for sale (also got me a screaming deal that I couldn't refuse), I couldn't pass up the opportunity!



Since acquiring it, I gotten the OVTune and then immediately went to the KDMax Tune from Adam (I believe his handle is @MGMSangTaco on TW). Very happy with both tunes, this KDMax tune is a true performance tune though. Super responsive throttle, don't feel like you have to floor the accelerator to get some power anymore.



I also purchased a Tepui RTT and RCI Bed Rack from @Rock-N-Roll (Thanks again James!) so we can have some fun this summer. I have a Lake Powell trip planned over July 4th week, so going to take some extra time to hit Moab and do some trails (I'm taking suggestions if any of you have some must-hit trails!) Seems like I might have a little bit of a "Bro lean" with the added weight so will be looking at ways to adjust this down the road. Also added the AVS wind visors so I can get fresh air even when raining. Also acts as an additional sun visor which is nice!



I'm not positive what other mods the previous owner had done before me (interior speakers, possible AAL I assume since there's a lift already?) - Does anyone know how to tell if you have AAL or other upgrades? Maybe the previous owner was on here and someone knows who they are?! (Wouldn't that be amazing/lucky haha)

Just added All Pro Bed Stiffeners from Summit Racing, I liked how they extend to the top of the bed rail for added support, as well as have a mount spot for rear ditch lights or a radio antenna (no photos yet, been pretty rainy in CO the last few days).
Super happy with my purchase so far and hope to be a Life-r!

 

I thought about it, but with shipping and powder coating, etc... it wouldn't make much sense...

I wired in the LED bed lights and the OEM tailgate power lock.
Easy job and they work great!

 

Admittedly they’re not much to see but I love them at night.

 

@Quicksand-TaCo Welcome! Looks like you got a foot up start on everything. Post a picture of your leaf pack, and I’m sure you’ll have complete positive identification of exactly what you have. Tons of helpful and friendly people in this thread. I’m here too.

 

Added some hood vinyl that's been sitting around since last fall. Also getting the KDmax tune on Wednesday, super stoked about that!

I just got that driver's side panel and see they didn't fix the bolt option. Looks kind of hokie and unfinished, and not as stable. Seems to me that they could have used the same bump stops that come with the rear panel.

Did you do anything to fix/modify this, or just leave it alone?

I already have the Front Runner tracks installed on my DB cover so a lower solution using those would be preferred.

I have a couple of installs coming that have been ordered, gears and lockers from ECGS, Archive Garage Hammers with the shackles & HC bar, and I finally picked out a rear bumper this week. Ended up ordering the Outgear Solutions HC with the tilt. I will start doing some research on the group 31 battery alternator upgrade. Work has been crazy busy this year. I almost forgot, I have an interesting install coming up soon for the ARB air lines. Going to install them in a new spot that of course takes a ton of work.
