Yup, finally decided to make the jump. Only been on the fence for 4 years.

 

I wonder if they have a base map for yours?

I can't remember his name on here, but a lowered 5 lug 2rz turbo posted his elite 1000 map in this thread. I downloaded that as a start point. I have some time to get used to the UI. I'm sure it is enough to get me started.

I did an elite 1500. I decided to go 1500 if I want to do DBW in the future and take advantage of the added race functions.
It's going to be fun. Gives me the summer to tune and make this thing run smooth.

 

I know that it is far away, but have you thought about a pedal and TB yet? Maybe FRS perhaps?

 

I might just do another truck pedal. One out of a GM or late model tacoma.
Throttle body. I'm looking for something around the 70-76mm range.(stock is 60mm) I guess maybe a tundra TB.

 

What is the 1GR? 66 or 68? The dual VVTi 1GR is about 70.

 

Could always grab the intake that 05taco4x4 does and go with an 80mm. That's what I went with, now to suck it up and buy the haltech...

I'm an 8 port 2/3rz. My manifold bolts up a bit different. Plus my engine bay is tight with the engine cage. I need to go full custom.

Ha ha yeah. The plasma cutter and i had a talk with the frame. The tacoma frames are super wide even in the rear which make it difficult for this. I bought a bunch of round tube for the bed, its in the beginning stages right now. I just wanted the receiver to be closer for leverage reason's.

 

Thanks yeah almost drivable. Pictures dont do it justice. Its a big bastard now. Once i get it running if the 2.7 doesnt push enough, i may have to go to 4.7

 

What grade, size, and thickness tubing are you using?
