Shhh, don’t let other people know that... I checked out https://parts.jonesjunction-toyota.com/ but the number in your picture didn’t come up. That’s a pretty new development for Jones, the online parts store that is.

Yea, I might call and ask to speak to the one service advisor, that Russ and I see when we go there, Karen Williams. She has a 4Runner.

I'm usually sitting in traffic on 70 in Frederick around 270 & 15. Worse than this Baltimore traffic!

Yeah I love engineering, and driving, and it's annoying when you move right next to a bottle neck and nice curve in the highway. Makes for a great backup everyday. Thankfully I rarely have to sit in it much, but definitely forget about it till I have to sit in it.

Mission BBQ just opened up across from Krispy if you need dinner!

You can see if shipping to VA 23116 is cheaper. If you send it to my families house, I'll pick it up one weekend and bring it to you. Although I think they use flat rate boxes, so it may not be much cheaper. Still worth a shot

oddly enough, I live pretty close to mcgeorge in VA, but they don't do their online prices at the desk. So I have them shipped to my house there anyway to lol

Oh I'm bettin' a couple of us in here could give them a run for their monies. But great-grab-n-go is always a nice addition. Where and when is it opening? I see there's a Guy Fieri carry-out place where the Arby's is? We don't go out to eat much. However, we do shop down in Abingdon so If we have to go past it on the way home I wouldn't mind taking some home, or to my Mom.

@68dave Dave..I wonder if they add cheese if they can call it a Cheesy-Q?

Is anyone good with electrical in here i posted a new thread but i feel like i never get responses so thought i would ask here as well

Im trying to setup my Compustar Remote Starter on my 2021 6 speed Tacoma

Ive gotten to the point i can get everything to work

    BUT...

with the relay i have connected for some reason the HUD and gas gauge stops working. So my solution is that i need something in the fuse panel under the dash that has power only prior to ignition (if that even exists)

i followed a couple of other threads on here to get this far but have run into another roadblock unfortunately

    main helpful one was this

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/remote-start-2017-tacoma.521636/page-2

the way i have it wired up currently

RELAY PIN 85 & 30 Jumped together going to Empty Slot on Fuse Panel that provides constant 12V (here lies the issue) Once i remove the power to pin 30 gauges come back and work normally

    RELAY PIN 87 > Compustar
RELAY PIN 86 > CLUTCH START CANCEL button tapped YELLOW wire

i attempted to wire it as shown below but determined that i had to swap 86 & 87 for it to work

I was thinking i can possibly wire in a switch to interrupt the constant power going to the relay but wanted to see if anyone else had any different insight to a solution

You lost me at "I'm trying......." because when I "Try" things, I usually break shit! @chris4x4 Chris use to install remote starters if memory serves. I think he got outta the game though and got a used Prius wagon.

Im usually the one breaking things as well, surprisingly i haven't got there yet, but im only at 4000 miles so im sure i will get to the breaking stage soon enough

hopefully i can find someone knowledgeable enough, i really don't want to take it to an audio shop cuz im sure they will bend me over to repair it

Look no farther than Nick @Darkgoatracer . He's my stereo consultant. He might know about remote starters too, or just plain ol' wiring know how. He has never gotten stuck on the trail due to an electrical failure either.

does mcgeorge fo pick ups at the facility? They are pretty damn cheap that’s for sure. I ordered a 6 foot bed mat from them. it was $75 shipped to my front door.

You can pick up at the parts desk, but its usually a decent more expensive than online+shipping. Some things are 20-30% cheaper online for various reasons. someone else on TW I was talking to said it had to do with remaining competitive online and price fixing. I did ask if they match the online price, and they said no. Everything ships from the dealer too, because I've gotten stuff next day or two in VA, so I find that dumb they can't just sell it for that price ad the desk.

What is weird though, is everytime I get a part from the desk at the dealer, they always say stuff like "the price is $29, but today I can do $19" without me even asking. Its still more expensive than online shipped, but sometimes need the parts right now. This summer when I replaced a CV axle, I had to go back for the seal I messed up twice and two different people did the price drop thing for different prices. thankfully I hung onto the other reciept so I got it for the lower price lol. So moral of that, is that the prices are kinda flexible at the desk, but still not as cheap as online
