Here's a video explaining the install. These guys have updated their kit to plug and play, but the OEM kit won't require any drilling of the plastic clip in the tailgate assembly to feed the wires through and is also plug and play.

Lift up on the trim near the console (by the brake), and it will pop off. You then slide the belt loops underneath and then close it back down. Very easy; theres a youtube video on it you can easily search. Also, there's a thread on this forum too.

 

Installed an OEM style roof rack yesterday. Gave me some fits on the install but love the subtleness of the look it gives me truck.

 

Anyone here have mounts for maxtrac recovery boards on their CBI Overland Bed Bars? If so, I would greatly appreciate a photo. Thanks

 

Mine is PVC, about $200 less than the ones with the leather inserts. Material is thick and feels good.

Seconding this. I've been nearly bashed senseless taking a fire extinguisher to the head. Not even overhead mounted. It was strapped vertically to the rear cockpit bulkhead in a BE-1900 I was flying when we hit mountain wave turbulence flying into Reno and it broke loose. Very, very not fun.

Side note: head wounds bleed like a MF. Cockpit looked like a horror movie set. Stiches, MRI and 12 hours of observation.

This is the second round of pics I've seen from folks strapping them in overhead. Seriously: re-think that. You don't want it anywhere near your noggin.

Yeah only takes a couple of minutes to do. I did my last plug without removing the rim.

 

Wanted some darker valve stem caps and thought these looked OK.
